In the period of 2021-2025, Dong Nai has set a target that the value of rural industrial production will account for about 8.5% of the production structure of the province while investing tens of billions in supporting and encouraging enterprises (enterprises) in rural industries to develop.

Enhancing the export value of rural industry

According to the plan approved by the Provincial People's Committee, the promotion program in the province in the next 5 years aims to effectively mobilize all resources, create a motivation to promote the development of industrial production and small crafts in rural areas in a sustainable way, improving competitiveness, handicrafts in rural areas in a sustainable way, improve competitiveness, help rural enterprises integrate into the international economy. Specifically, it will support rural industrial production facilities with competitive advantages, potential domestic and foreign markets such as textiles, agricultural products processing, household wood, crafts, industries that do not pollute the environment ... At the same time, it will be supporting these enterprises in terms of management capacity and quality of human resources, the ability to develop product designs, innovate production technology to enhance the value for rural industry.

 In order to implement the above task, Dong Nai aims to increase the average annual value of rural industrial production in the period from 5-5.4% per year, accounting for 8-8.5% of the total value of industrial production in the province. Striving to reach 900 million USD by 2025, the average growth rate is 5.2-6%.

VND 71 billion for promotion program

It is expected that the total funding for the implementation of the promotion program in the whole province is about VND 71 billion, of which the local promotion funding is more than VND 41 billion, attract from rural industrial establishments of VND 28 billion, the rest are other sources. There will be 47 rural industrial establishments that granted a part of the funding to apply modern technology and machinery for production, and they will be trained and train for workers as well as solutions to display and introduce products to consumers ...

According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan, owner of Thanh Nhan carpentry facility in Trang Bom district, Dong Nai has great potential to develop rural industries, including carpentry. However, the problem is that currently the production capacity of each individual unit is exceedingly small, difficult to meet the high requirements of export. The facilities have not linked to create greater concentrated production capacity. This has been also a long - standing concern that rural enterprises and industrial establishments need support and help from state policy.​
