Tung said that in 1984, according to the call of the Fatherland, he voluntarily registered to walk the team and participate in combat in the battlefield of Cambodia. In December 1987, he completed military service and returned to his local area and asked to work as a worker. However, hard work, low salary, life is not guaranteed, so he only worked for a few years and then quit. In 1998, his wife and wife decided to invest in a broiler chicken farm.
“Every beginning of the hard", the first time Mr. Tung's family had many difficulties, because he had not had much experience in caring for chickens so the economic efficiency brought was not high. Moreover, in 2 years 2003 - 2004, a row of bird flu occurred, and his chickens were destroyed. However, with the will of the soldier Ho, veteran Ho Thanh Tung is determined not to give up but always find ways to rebuild the model of chicken farming.

In 2005, Mr. Tung and his wife decided to bring home papers, bank mortgages and borrowed 30 million VND (equivalent to 10 gold trees at that time) to continue investing in the model of raising 10 thousand chickens laying eggs in the hope that things will be better. This time, he implemented the motto “slow but surely" rather than rush to invest massively to quickly collect the profits. He often spent time learning information on books, newspapers, television, and then took the initiative to visit effective models of chicken farming to learn and learn from experience. It was thanks to his unceasing hard work that helped him succeed.

“During the first two years, I accepted to spend a large amount of money to hire two nutritionists and home techniques to guide how to take care of chickens. Thanks to this, I have learned a lot of useful knowledge to confidently take care of healthy chickens and bring high economic efficiency" - said veteran Ho Thanh Tung.
Get rich in the homeland
After finding the effective chicken breeding formula, Tung's family decided to scale up the farm, develop chicken herds from 10 thousand to now have increased to more than 18 thousand and remain stable for more than 17 years. Every day, his family's chickens lay 15-18 thousand eggs, each year more than 5 million chicken eggs sold to the market and earned about half a billion VND, after deducting all costs. “Currently the output of the product is very stable, every two days the customer's truck to the farm to carry eggs and take away consumption all over the country" - Mr. Tung Bach.

According to the experience of veteran Ho Thanh Tung, want to give chickens a healthy condition and stable, large, good quality eggs, farmers must pay attention to the process of breeding. At the same time, the breeder must master the technical process of care, regularly monitor the manifestation of the chicken flock, feed on time and sufficiently according to the nutrition ration. Chickens must be vaccinated to prevent common diseases periodically, and the barn area must be regularly poisoned, disinfected and collected for waste disposal.
“I have made a separate barn called a dispensary to separate sick chickens from the herd and bring them here for treatment and monitoring. After the disease, chickens are returned to the herd to limit the spread of the disease through other healthy ones. This method has helped to control the disease for chickens very effectively" - said Tung.
Not only profit from eggs, Tung's family also sells chicken manure to gardeners who fertilize crops; selling commercial chickens for those who lay eggs after a long time has ceased to be effective. Up to now, the model of breeding chickens has helped him have relatively high income sources, family economy is growing quite, have conditions for building spacious houses, shopping cars and care for the children to eat properly.
Not only enriching the family, Mr. Tung's family's egg-laying chicken farm also creates stable jobs for many workers in the locality and surrounding areas. He pays each worker from 9.5 to more than 10 million VND/month. In addition, he also rewarded 13 months of salary for laborers so that they could have money for Tet.
During the past 5 years, veteran Ho Thanh Tung also performed the role of a Veteran Club as a good economist at Xuan Lap Ward, Long Khanh City. He has given the idea and actively lobbied members to contribute money, set up funds, in order to create conditions for veterans who need to make loans for business loans. Thanks to this, many families have invested in family economic development, the quality of life is getting better.
In addition, Tung also actively participated in social work contributions in the local area.
