Vice Chairperson of Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang has just chaired a meeting with the departments, medical clinics and localities to inspect Covid-19 vaccination schedule and to solve the difficulties and problems arising during the vaccination program in the province recently.
Reported at the meeting, many localities pledged to complete the 4th and 5th vaccination phase before August 17, to organize the vaccination on both Saturday and Sunday, and to extend the vaccination time during the day to facilitate the people. In addition, there are still some localities that are confused in the organization stage and do not know how to mobilize forces to participate in vaccination, so the results of vaccination are very slow and a number of vaccine doses have not been used. Apart from the lack of human resources, localities also have difficulties in data entry.
Concluding at the meeting, Vice Chairperson of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang criticized the Department of Health for planning and distributing vaccines too late. Due to delays in planning the deployment to the localities and units lead to the situation that no locality has completed the 4th and 5th vaccination phases. That's the reason why it's slow.
Provincial leaders has emphasized that Dong Nai is currently the leading locality in the slow implementation of vaccination. Districts and cities must determine that, in the current complicated epidemic situation, no vaccinating people while the vaccines are available is a guilty to the people. Therefore, by all measures to speed up vaccination against Covid-19 in the area, we have to complete the 4th and 5th phase as quickly as possible. The locality quickly completing the vaccination will support the remaining localities.
From the next 6th phase, the province will change its vaccination strategy by giving priority to people in epidemic areas according to each level of risk from high to low.
Additionally, localities must immediately develop vaccination plans in its localities, prepare human resources to serve vaccination sites, pay attention to human resources in the data entry stage, and maximize the mobilization of private healthcare forces joining the campaign. The Department of Health has proposed in writing to coordinate with other departments and branches to mobilize the force of cadres, officials, public employees and high-school teachers to participate in data entry stage.
