Four bridges will be built additionally to connect Binh Duong Province and Dong Nai Province

​At the meeting on connecting traffic routes between the two provinces of Binh Duong and Dong Nai on the afternoon of July 27, at the People's Committee of Dong Nai Province, the leaders of the two provinces agreed on the policy of investing in building four more bridges across Dong Nai River to connect traffic between the two localities.

Accordingly, at the meeting, the two provinces focused a lot on traffic connection projects between the two localities, including Bach Dang 2 Bridge (under construction), Hieu Liem Bridge, Thanh Hoi 2 Bridge and the construction of Ring Road No.4 Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the proposal of the People's Committee of Binh Duong Province, the People's Committee of Dong Nai Province agreed to update the planning of Hieu Liem Bridge into the provincial planning and agreed on the policy of investment in connecting bridges between Bac Tan Uyen District (Binh Duong Province) and Vinh Cuu District, Dong Nai Province; directing agencies to coordinate with Binh Duong to speed up site clearance for Bach Dang 2 Bridge Project; Dong Nai will soon build the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road No. 4 from Thu Bien Bridge to National Highway 1A to increase the ability to transport goods between the two provinces; agreed to add Thanh Hoi 2 Bridge to the planning of Dong Nai Province to have an investment plan for the period 2025-2030.

At the meeting, Mr. Cao Tien Dung, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that for the Bach Dang 2 Bridge project, Dong Nai is conducting land compensation for the people and will soon hand it over to the construction unit. With the Hieu Liem Bridge project, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province also agreed with the leaders of Binh Duong Province in this area to build a connecting bridge between the two localities and assign the Dong Nai Department of Transport to coordinate with the Binh Duong Department of Transport to carefully study the construction plan and location and soon report the results to the leaders of the two provinces. About the Ring Road No. 4 Project in Ho Chi Minh City, it is currently in the pre-feasibility report preparation stage.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province agreed to supplement the planning of Thanh Hoi 2 bridge according to the proposal of Binh Duong province. Besides, the Chairman of Dong Nai People's Committee also proposed to study another connecting bridge across the Dong Nai River between Hieu Liem Bridge and Ring Road 4 of Ho Chi Minh City.

Thus, in addition to the Thu Bien Bridge that has been built, in the future there will be 4 bridges connecting the two provinces: Hieu Liem Bridge, Bach Dang 2 Bridge (under construction), Thanh Hoi 2 Bridge and one more bridge being studied and added.
