Enterprises "accelerate" for production recovery

​Fujitsu Computer Products of Vietnam Inc. located in Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Zone increase workforce to restore its production

According to the Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority, up to now, nearly 1,400 enterprises in Industrial Zones have restored production, accounting for over 81%. This is good news for the province's economy. 

Continuous registration to resume production.

From the end of September 2021, in Industrial Zones in the province, there have been hundreds of new registered enterprises, supplementing workers to restore production after nearly 3 months of pause or only operating from 20% to 60% factory capacity. Although businesses are very urgent in the restoration of production to keep orders and not let the supply chain be interrupted, safety in the prevention of the Covid-19 pandemic is still guaranteed. Most businesses agree on the motto "production must be safe and safe to produce".

Mr. Le Van Danh, deputy head of the Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority, said: “Enterprises that resume operations or increase employees must fully comply with regulations on Covid-19 prevention and control. In which, businesses can register for option “3 on the spot”, “1 route - 2 locations” or let workers go and return every day. The province gives businesses the initiative in planning production recovery and disease prevention.

Companies located in Industrial Zones, the restoration of production will be reviewed and approved by the Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority. Companies located outside Industrial Zones are approved by the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs. Mr. Hiroyuki Ishil, General Director of Long Duc Investment Co., Ltd (Long Duc Industrial Zone, Long Thanh District) said: “Long Duc Industrial Zone has 63 operating businesses, the pandemic over the past 3 months has occurred causing many factories to operate only 20-50% capacity, greatly affecting orders. After the Provincial People's Committee had a policy of reopening to a new normal state, many businesses registered additional workers to restore production.

Timely remove difficulties

From September 15, 2021, the Provincial People's Committee had enacted The Plan No. 11102/KH-UBND on gradually recovering economy - society activities, national defense and ensuring the prevention of Covid-19 at Dong Nai Province in new situations. Then, the Provincial People's Committee issued many different documents in order to ease the regulations and create benefits for enterprises in recovering production.

Mr. Artur Petrosjan, General Director of Friwo Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Amata Industrial Zone, Bien Hoa City) expressed: “The company has nearly 2,300 employees working in factories, but the fourth outbreak of the epidemic occurred and was only able to organize nearly 770 people to stay at the factory, so the capacity decreased by more than 60%. Therefore, businesses need to quickly support enough 2 doses of vaccines for employees and ease more regulations so that all workers can return to the factory".

During the past, the Government and People's Committee have had many online meetings, and have met businesses to listen to their difficulties and problems in order to remove on time. Through online meetings, meetings and dialogues, many difficult enterprise’s problems have been solved, the number of enterprises, which have registered to recover production in the past half month has continuously increased, tens of thousands of workers have come back to factory to work.

Nguyen Thi Hoang - Vice Chairperson of the Provincial People's Committee said: "Along with the guidelines, policies and orientations of the Central Government, the province has come up with companion solutions with businesses. In which, the province regularly monitors and coordinates with all levels and sectors in supporting businesses to maintain and restore production. The Provincial People's Committee assigns specific tasks to each department and industry, prioritizing the tasks of stabilizing production and business, restoring the economy”.

Because the situation of covid-19 epidemic is still complicated, Dong Nai Province is determined to adapt with the new situation. Dong Nai has many Industrial Zones and huge amount of employees, so reopening the production activities must follow the certain procedure, carefully step-by-step, and both working and evaluating, adjusting to suit with the actual situation.
