The Chairperson of the provincial People’s Committee have recently given directions for the promotion of urgent measures for forest safety in the dry season 2009-2010 to departments, branches, localities, and people in the province

Accordingly, the standing directing board of urgent issues in forest fire safety frequently organizes force, formes investigating delegation, supervises and speeds up inspection and forest fire safety of localities and units possessing forests. It also identifies key areas most likely to get fired in each locality, actively prepares fire engines, equipments, and force available to give timely directions for fire control with motto “four things are onsite” onsite force, onsite vehicles, onsite ordnance, and onsite leadership, regularly updates forest fire forecast to timely inform risk of forest fire, forms a line for fire prevention, treats all flammable materials, assigns investigating force in 24 hours a day on pitch month, boosts calling for people to join forest fire safety, especially residence areas on the edge of the forest, boosts investigation into management of forest safety in the dry season to detect and prevent timely acts of deforestation, instructs people to clear vegetation to cultivate appropriately so that fire will not spread to forest, and asks them to limit use of fire. Moreover, it usually holds practices of forest fire safety.
