Dong Nai’s Industrial Production in the First Quarter of 2011 Rises by 17 Percent over the Same Period

The cumulative total for the past four months of 2011 hits VND37.86 trillion (or US$1.82 billion), up 17 percent over the same period, accounting for 31.3 percent according to the year plan.

In particular, the central state-owned sector’s industrial production in April 2011 hits VND774.7 billion (or US$37.39 million), up 1.4 percent against the previous month.

The cumulative total for the past four months of 2011 hits VND3.03 trillion (or US$146.64 million), up 2.1 percent over the same period.

In April, 13 out of 13 industries show an increase in production against the previous month. According to the cumulative total for the past four months, 12 out of 13 industries show an increase in production over the same period whereas the electricity industry shows a decline in production.

Local state-owned sector’s industrial production in April hits VND268.5 billion (or US$12.96 million), up 2.9 percent against the previous month.

The cumulative total for the past four months of 2011 hits VND991.2 billion (or US$47.84 million), up 12.4 percent over the same period.

In April, 11 out of 11 industries show an increase in production against the previous month.

Non-state sector’s industrial production in April 2011 hits VND1.24 trillion (or US$60.02 million), up 1.9 percent against the previous month.

Foreign investment sector’s industrial production in April hits VND7.50 trillion (or US$362.02 million), up 1.3 percent against the previous month.

The cumulative total for the past four months of 2011 hits VND28.9 trillion (or US$1.39 billion), up 18.8 percent over the same period, accounting for 31.7 percent according to the year plan.

Some industries have seen an increase in production over the same period.

Food - Beverages, Textile, Garment -Leather Tanning and Dying, Leather Treating and Suitcase Making - Bag Making - Saddle and Mattress Making - Footwear rise by 19.4 percent, 23.6 percent, 21.3 percent and 19.6 percent over the same period, respectively.

It is estimated that 9 out of 9 industries will see an increase in production in April 2011 against the previous month.

According to the cumulative total for the past four months of 2011, 8 out of 9 industries increase over the same period.
