Dong Nai Rubber aims to process 34.8 thousand tons of latex

​Mr. Tran Ngoc Thuan, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Mr. Vo Tan Duc, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented excellent emulation flag of the Prime Minister to Dong Nai Rubber Corporation.

Reporting at the conference, Mr. Do Minh Tuan, General Director, Dong Nai Rubber Corporation, said that in 2020, despite many difficulties due to: the area of the garden decreased; latex prices remain low; Adverse weather; labor shortage ... however the Corporation has made great efforts to successfully fulfill the assigned targets and tasks.

Specifically, the Corporation exploited nearly 27.3 thousand tons of latex, reaching 100% of the plan’s target, purchased more than 6.8 thousand tons of latex, reaching 197% of the plan’s target, processing more than 36.5 thousand tons of latex, reaching 115% plan’s target. Total revenue and other income reached more than 2.8 trillion VND, reaching more than 107%, profit before tax more than 1.4 trillion VND. The corporation contributes capital and investment in 19 projects. Maintaining stable jobs for more than 4.3 thousand people with an average income of 10.2 million VND/person/month, reaching 118% of the plan, raised 12% compared to 2019. In addition, the Corporation has handing over 1.7 thousand hectares of land to the Provincial People's Committee to implement the project of Long Thanh International Airport on schedule.

In 2021, the Corporation aims to replant more than 1.1 thousand hectares, maintain latex tapping output of 25.5 thousand tons (decrease compared to 2020 due to reduced garden area), purchase 5 thousand tons of latex. and processing 34.8 thousand tons of latex; promote deep processing, exploit new markets and potential markets; ensure total revenue and income of more than 1.8 trillion VND, maintain the average income of employees by 2020 or higher.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Vo Tan Duc congratulated the Corporation's achievements in 2020 and suggested the company continue to promote the tradition of overcoming difficulties, worthy of the position of the largest unit of the group; coordinating with the province to well perform the tasks of economic development and social security; focus on implementing the objectives and tasks of the Resolution of the Congress Party of the Corporation. Provincial leaders said that Dong Nai commits to accompany and support the Corporation to fulfill its mission targets for the year 2021 and the period of 2021-2025.

Mr. Tran Ngoc Thuan, Chairman of the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group, requested the Corporation pay attention to implementing the planning of lands that can be converted to high-tech agriculture, industry and infrastructure projects which are following Corporation’s orientation and land use planning of Dong Nai province; Improve efficiency of using rubber land. Consider continuing to invest effectively in capital contribution in subsidiaries and associated companies; speed up restructuring according to the approved project, divestment of companies that are not in line according to the Government's regulations. Maintain the orientation of harmonious economic - social - environmental development.
