Dong Nai Province proposes 3,100 tons of rice to support more than 200,000 people

​The provincial document clearly states that in order to take care of people facing difficulties due to the Covid-19 epidemic, Dong Nai Province has directed all levels, branches and mass organizations to actively mobilize the local resources and budgets in order to support subjects at risk of hunger. However, due to the prolonged epidemic, Dong Nai Province has implemented the social distancing according to Directive No. 16/CT-CP for nearly 2 months, many workers and employees had to quit, seriously affecting the lives of many people. Through the review, the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee asked the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to propose the Prime Minister to support the province with about 3,100 tons of rice to support about  208,567 people (15 kg per person); in which poor households are 2,934 people, near-poor households are 1,867 people, social protection beneficiaries are 42,670 people, jobless workers are 161,096 people.
