Dong Nai has more than 33.7 thousand hectares of production forest land

According to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the planning target by 2020, the production forest land in the province is 25,291ha, but there is still 33,733ha so far, 8,442ha higher than the approved target. The main reason why the production forest area is much larger than planned is because the production forest area of ​​La Nga Forestry One Member Limited Company is expected to be handed over to Cat Tien National Park for management, but now the handover procedure has not been completed yet. In addition, some planning projects have used production forest land but have not been implemented yet, so the land has not been recovered.

In addition, the planned area of ​​protection forest by 2020 is 31.8 thousand ha, but currently there are still 33,718 ha, 1,918 ha higher than the approved target. Currently, Dong Nai is the province that still retains the most forests in the Southeast region.
