The poor supported with almost VND1.4 billion

On June 8 morning, at the provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Dong Nai Golf Association offered VND550 million to localities in the province and Dong Nai province Fund for The Poor also offered VNF850 million to support in housing for the poor.

Implementing the project to support capital for the poor according to the national norms (Decision no. 167/2008/TTg issued by the Prime Minister), the provincial Fund for the Poor offered VND840 million to support in housing for 210 poor households in the province. (each one has average of VND4 million).
According to the Decree no.167, poor households are in the list of households supported in housing will receive VND6 million for each from the central budget. For ones supported in housing and at the same time residing in administrative units in the difficult regions as defined in Decision no. 30/2007/QĐ-TTg dated March 5, 2007, issued by the Prime Minister, they will get VND7 million for each.
Moreover, apart from central budget, localities has responsibilities for supporting VND2 million more and loan Vietnam Bank for Social Policies VND8 million and the Fund for the Poor VND4 million to help households to be able to build houses.

In particular, VND550 million of Dong Nai Golf Association is given to 110 poor households across the province (each district, town, city receives average of VND50 million) which will be used to raise capital, buy machines, equipments, materials, etc.
