Dongnai Post and Telecommunication celebrates the 61st founding anniversary of Post and Telecommunication ministry.

61 years ago, on August 15 1945, at the national congress of Indochinese Communist Party in Tan Trao, the Party decided to establish “Specialized transportation Committee”, a predecessor of presently Post and Telecommunication Ministry. Since then, August 15 is chosen as traditional day of postal sector.

On January 1st 1976, Dongnai Post and Telecommunication was founded by merging the postal delivery committee and information committee. On December 12 1992, the telecommunication network of Dongnai province officially launched the long distance automatic call service using digital technology. Over 10 years of operation and development, the Postal and Telecommunication in Dongnai province has opened a lot of new services such as mobile information, internet, 1080 automatic switchboard on socioeconomic information, ADSL, fax, high-speed data transfer, Express mail service… Presently, the postal and telecommunication network in the province has 82 telephone switchboards, the total subscribers in 2006 is 2,750,000. The postal network is developed well. Since 1994, Dongnai Post and Telecommunications has always ranked third after Ho Chi Minh City Post and Telecommunications and Ha Noi Post and Telecommunication in term of revenue and telephone machine installation.
