Dong Nai Rubber Company received title of “People’s Armed Force Hero”

provincial Party Committee Secretary is presenting the the honorable title to Donaruco's representative.

 Attending at the ceremony were Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of Dong Nai People’s Council Tran Dinh Thanh, representatives from the Provincial People’s Committee, Vietnam Rubber Corporation and People’s Armed Force Units of the province.

A history of Donaruco can be traced through its formation back to 1905 when Dong Nai’s rubber plantations were owned by French capitalists. At that time, the seizure of land to open plantations was accelerated by the French colonialists. There were colonisers who owned thousands and even tens of thousands of hectares of land for cultivating rubber. Our people were impoverished in every way because of heavy taxes and duties. The living conditions of workers were wretched. However, the Party was established on February 3, 1930, it has been the vanguard of Vietnamese working class and has led the Vietnamese people to win great victories. Under the leadership of the Vietnamese Communist Party and President Ho Chi Minh, the Vietnamese working class and people united and carried out the fight against invasion, and feudalism, and for national liberation. During the two long-time war resistances against foreign invasion, trees in Dong Nai’s rubber plantations became unyielding fortress of the liberation force. In the past two war resistances, more than 15,000 people from Dong Nai’s rubber plantations joined the army, 765 were war martyrs. Besides, many worker families have made meritorious contributions to the revolution. Many units and individuals of Donaruco have been awarded medals and the noble titles such as People’s Armed Force Hero and Labor Hero by the Party and State in recognition of their outstanding achievements.

Over the past 30 years, the total land for growing rubber in Donaruco has reached 37,000 hectares. The company has so far produced 859,000 tonnes of latex and invested to build many rubber processing factories with their advanced technologies. Thus, the company benefited from a fast rate of growth in revenue and lift living standards of its workers sigfinicantly. With above achievements in anti-aggressor resistances and the renewal period, Donaruco has been presented the honorable title of People’s Armed Force Hero by the President.
