Department of Science and Technology Holds a Summation Meeting about Preparation Work for the Election of the 13th National Assembly Deputies and of People’s Council Delegates in 2011-2016 Period

Addressing the meeting, Deputy Director of Dost Nguyen Thi Hoang confirmed that it has mobilized all its resources to serve the election, and to bring out the best results with the given tasks: designing and building an election portal that contains election propaganda information, building a database that contains legal election-related documents, Election Committee’s information, photos, videos, candidates’ information at four levels, the software that monitor the election’s progress and automatically calculate and compile the election’s results at four levels, and that send all the results from election units to communes, districts, and the province.

Once given tasks, Dost made plans and gave tasks to each division.

In Election Day, Dost quickly established mobile working groups to give direct assistance in each district, and each town and Bien Hoa city.

Dost staff’s biggest efforts made contributions to the success of the election at four levels. The election portal has met Dong Nai Election Committee’s requirements.

Director of Dost Pham Van Sang said that 150 pieces of news, articles, and photos, 500 documents, forms, guidance documents, Q&A documents that are related to the election from the central-to-local government, 500 election propaganda videos, instructions on polling locations, candidates’ brief biographies and action programs have served the dissemination of propaganda information effectively and the building of a rich database that means a lot towards monitoring all candidates’ activities during the term and getting experience in organization steps for the election in 2016-2021 period.

The above results are thanks to Dong Nai Election Committee’s care and close directions and the greatest efforts of all Dost staff from its investment in equipment and human resources to its monitoring and supervising the portal, added Sang.

Moreover, Dost has such advantages as a young, enthusiastic, and responsible workforce staff and a team of scientific and technological staff that is available at each locality, continued Sang.

The achieved results are thanks to a combination of an internal force that is strong enough to promote the advancement of technology, human resources, directions, and leadership, said Sang.

On this occasion, Dost was honored to receive Dong Nai People’s Committee’s emulation flag and its three excellent collectives and twenty six individuals were awarded Dong Nai People’s Committee’s certificates of merit for outstanding achievements in the election of the 13th National Assembly deputies and of levels of People’s Council delegates in 2011-2016 period.

In addition, Dost awarded certificates of merit to five collectives, and seventy four individuals with good achievements in the service of the election and the certificate of merit to the Economic Security Office at Dong Nai Police for its achievements in cooperation with Dost in the service of the election.
