Culture and Society Committee of the provincial People’s Council checks amusement settings for children

 

Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Head of the Culture and Society Committee of the provincial People’s Council gave a speech in the meeting

According to opinions of departments and sectors, at present, there are a limited number of  amusement settings for children in the province, with just one provincial Children House and two district Children Houses in Xuan Loc and Long Thanh, which specialize in educating, recognizing, fostering gifted children and organizing amusement activities for children.  

Additionally, Culture and Sports Centers of districts and communes also hold amusement activities for children, but mainly in summer vacation, holidays and Tet. Activities are are limited by expenditure, management and there is not a variety in contents too. Private-invested amusement settings are on small scale, not meeting entertainment need of children, etc.   

Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Head of the Culture and Society Committee of the provincial People’s Council suggested promoting socilization of investment in amusement settings for children, and training and improving skills and competence to cadres to run culture centers effectively. As to him, departments and sectors should collaborate with each other to grasp situation of children in the province, especially disabled and underprivilidged children to take care of them better.
