After 4-year implementation of the campaign “Studying and following HCM’s moral example”: Typical collectives and individuals honored

Secretary Tran Dinh Thanh handles certificates of merit to excellent collectives and individuals in 4-year implementation of the campaign

According to the report made by the Steering Committee of the campaign “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s moral example”, the campaign has made many positive changes in awareness and action among public employees, Party members, and people from all walks of life. It has also become a widespread political activity which has made a deep impact and intensified its effects throughout the political system and the whole society. The number of typical examples studying and following Uncle Ho’s moral example has increased more sharply in all aspects of life. Specially, many units combined the campaign with their tasks as follows: Xuan Loc district with the plan “Let’s follow one virtue of Uncle Ho each month”; Nhon Trach district with some effective models being implemented such as Nhon Trach Study Encouragement Association and Piggy Bank Model; Vinh Thanh commune with “Diary of one good deed for the people every day”; Dong Nai’s Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union with. Dong Nai Military Forces focus on promoting the “Excellent training, strict discipline and high readiness to combat”; Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in Dong Nai province with 1,507 bookcases regarding “Follow President’s teachings”; and Dong Nai Military Forces with the campaign “Excellent training, strict discipline and high readiness to combat”.

Addressing the conference, Secretary Tran Dinh Thanh highly appreciated the achievements gained from the campaign during the past 4 years. To maintain and uphold these achievements, the Party organizations at all levels need to implement the campaign together with their activities every month. The campaign must be considered as a compulsory criterion for public employees, officials, and Union member, in which “setting good examples” and “following HCM's moral example” should be emphasized.

To record all achievements from the campaign, the Steering Committee decided to recognize 43 grassroots Party organizations, 58 Party cells and 841 excellent Party members as typical examples of the Campaign. At the conference, typical collectives and individuals during 4-year implementation of the Campaign were honored. In which, Nhon Trach district was awarded the third rank Labor Medal, one collectives and 15 individuals were granted certificates of merit conferred by Prime Minister of the government, and 06 collectives and 16 individuals received the certificates of merit from the provincial People’s Committee. On this occasion, 30 authors who won the biggest prizes of the contest on writing and composing literature, arts and press works on the Campaign were also granted by the provincial People’s Committee. Additionally, 208 examples (103 collectives and 105 individuals) with their excellent achievements during 4-year implementation of the Campaign (2007-2010) were recognized and solemnly honored at 4 venues of summation meeting on December 23 late afternoon.
