(News Portal – Dong Nai) - On January 8, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang, chaired the January 2025 monthly meeting with the Provincial Transportation Construction Investment Project Management Unit. The meeting was attended by leaders of various provincial departments and local authorities.

According to the Provincial Transportation Construction Investment Project Management Unit, as of the end of December 2024, the board had disbursed over 1.5 trillion VND out of the nearly 2 trillion VND allocated for the year, achieving over 76% of the planned target. It is estimated that by the end of January 2025, the total disbursed capital will reach nearly 1.9 trillion VND, exceeding 95% of the planned target.
In recent times, the board has worked closely with relevant agencies to resolve challenges related to relocating technical infrastructure, managing rubber tree plantations, and addressing issues with fill materials for soil embankments at key national and transportation sector projects.
The board also requested coordination from departments, agencies, and localities to expedite land clearance and planning for 22 key national and provincial transportation projects.
In her concluding remarks, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Hoang emphasized that with only about two weeks remaining to complete the disbursement of public investment capital for 2024, the Provincial Transportation Construction Investment Project Management Unit must make every effort to ensure that disbursement reaches over 95% as committed.
Additionally, the board was instructed to urge contractors to accelerate the construction progress of projects under its management, particularly the two key national projects: the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway and the Ring Road 3 - Ho Chi Minh City.
Specifically, for the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project, the provincial Land Development Center must coordinate with the Bien Hoa City People's Committee to expedite land clearance for the section passing through Bien Hoa City. Priority should be given to areas where four overpasses are planned, as these components have lengthy construction timelines.
