The Russian Federation wishes to cooperate in many fields with Dong Nai province.

​TTDT - On April 27, at the meeting room of the Provincial People's Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang and representatives of leaders of departments and branches received the delegation of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Vietnam led by Mr. Gennady Stepanovich Bezdetko - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in Vietnam to visit and work in Dong Nai province.

Attending the delegation were Mr. Sadykov Timur Sirozhevich - Consul General of the Russian Federation in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Stanislav Fokin - Counselor of the Embassy of the Russian Federation, Dr. Tran Chi Thanh - Director of the Vietnam Atomic Energy Institute and officials from the Center for Research and Development of Radiation Technology accompanied the delegation.

 Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang informed the Ambassador and the Delegation about the province's socio-economic situation, the situation of attracting foreign investment capital in Dong Nai province. It is known that Dong Nai is one of the leading industrial development provinces of Vietnam, Dong Nai currently has 45 countries and territories investing with a total of 1,567 projects, total registered capital is 33.50 billion USD.

Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee has established and signed 37 first provincial international MOUs and cooperation agreements and re-signed 13 provincial international cooperation agreements with foreign localities and partners. The Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association in Dong Nai province was established in April 2016 and has grown to 107 members so far with effective operation contributing to consolidating and promoting the friendly relations between the peoples of the two countries.

 It is expected that in 2023, Dong Nai province will welcome the delegation of Sverdlovsk province, Russia to visit and work in the province. This will be an opportunity for the two sides to exchange and discuss potential areas of cooperation, towards the signing of an Agreement to establish cooperative relations between the two localities. The Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee also informed the delegation that Dong Nai province had participated in a working trip of the Ministry of Science and Technology to study nuclear safety in the Russian Federation in 2019.

At the meeting, Mr. Gennady Stepanovich Bezdetko said that the purpose of the visit was to promote cooperation between the two countries in all fields of investment, trade, tourism, cultural exchange, especially in the fields of oil and gas, liquefied petroleum gas, railway infrastructure construction, auto parts industry, cooperation in nuclear science and technology research...

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary affirmed that the economy of the Russian Federation and the economy of Vietnam do not compete with each other but complement and support each other for mutual development. The two sides have many similarities and many potentials and strengths that can promote cooperation in the coming time. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary supported the establishment and signing of a MOU between Sverdlovsk Province, the Russian Federation and Dong Nai Province. Sverdlovsk is the third most industrially developed province in the Russian Federation.

 Mr. Gennady Stepanovich Bezdetko affirmed that the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Vietnam and the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Ho Chi Minh City would make more efforts to promote cooperation between the Russian Federation and Vietnam in general, between the partners of the Russian Federation and Dong Nai province in particular on the basis of mutual benefits, promoting the potentials and strengths of the two sides. The Ambassador expected that there would be many Russian investors come to invest in Vietnam and Dong Nai province, and many Vietnamese investors and businesses would invest in the Russian market.

After the meeting, Mr. Gennady Stepanovich Bezdetko and the Delegation visited the proposed construction site of the Nuclear Science and Technology Research Center in Long Khanh City with the help of the State Corporation "Rosatom" of the Russian Federation.​
