The Gyeonggi Provincial Trade Union Delegation from South Korea Visits Dong Nai to Explore Investment Environment

(News Portal – Dong Nai) - On the afternoon of May 16th, at the Reception Hall of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Nguyen Viet Thang, presided over a meeting with the Gyeonggi Provincial Trade Union Delegation from South Korea to explore the investment environment in Dong Nai. Also present at the meeting were Vice Chairman of the Provincial Trade Union, Mr. Bui Thi Nhan, and representatives from several provincial departments and agencies.

The purpose of the visit was to learn about the opportunities, mechanisms, and policies for attracting investment from South Korean investors to Dong Nai province, as well as to understand the policies regarding foreign labor and Vietnamese workers employed in foreign-invested enterprises in the province.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged and discussed various issues of interest to the delegation, particularly in the areas of electricity supply for production activities, labor laws and policies supporting workers, education, healthcare, and the province's investment orientation.

Mr. Kim Yeon Pung, Chairman of the Gyeonggi Provincial Trade Union, stated that Viet Nam in general, and Dong Nai in particular, are experiencing rapid economic development and have become attractive destinations for South Korean investors. Therefore, the Gyeonggi Provincial Trade Union has organized four delegations to visit and explore the investment environment in Dong Nai. During the meeting, the representative from the Department of Planning and Investment highlighted that Dong Nai province prioritizes attracting investment in projects with advanced technology, new and high technology, clean technology, effective current management, high added value, low labor intensity, significant spillover effects, global production and supply chain connectivity, in conjunction with the investment in the construction and operation of the Long Thanh International Airport. At the same time, they hope that the Gyeonggi Provincial Trade Union will connect and introduce information about Dong Nai to South Korean businesses and investors who are interested in investing in the province in the near future.
