The Government delegation worked with Dong Nai to remove difficulties for production and business

Portal of Dong Nai) - On May 12, the Government delegation led by Member of the Central Party Committee, Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi had a working session with the Provincial People's Committee on the situation of production and business, construction investment, export - import, difficulties and problems and propose solutions to promote economic development in the province.

Receiving and working with the delegation were Member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hong Linh; Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Cao Tien Dung; Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc and representatives of departments and branches.

The Director of the Department of Planning and Investment on behalf of the Provincial People's Committee reported to the delegation on the province's socio-economic development in the first four months of the year. Accordingly, the province's gross domestic product (GRDP) in the first quarter of 2023 reached more than VND 54.6 trillion, increased of 3.25% compared to the same period in 2022. As of the end of April, the total state budget revenue of the province reached over 19.8 thousand billion VND, reached 32% of the estimate.​

Member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hong Linh shared at the working session about some difficulties and obstacles that the province facing that needed to be resolved soon.

Besides the achieved results, the province is facing difficulties such as the volatile world economy, high fuel prices leading to inflation that occurred in many countries around the world which has severely affected the import and export situation of enterprises in the province; negatively affected the production and sales of orders of enterprises, resulting in a sharp decline in production and business, leading to the reduction of personnel and workers from enterprises, leading to unemployment increased in the past time.

In addition, there are a number of other problems and difficulties such as: procedures for changing the purpose of land use in case the investor receives the transfer of land use rights of the current land user to implement an investment project. Some inadequacies in the state's mechanisms, policies and laws on social house development and houses for low-income people cause difficulties for businesses and cooperatives. ​The Provincial People's Committee also proposes the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the Ministry of Construction to coordinate with ministries and sectors to advise and continue to improve, amend and supplement policies on social houses and houses for low-income people for social people group; ensure the synchronization of policies and laws on planning, housing, land and investment; manage industrial parks and economic zones in the direction of having separate policies on houses for industrial park workers, and develop a model of worker accommodations in industrial parks. Amending the Law on Housing in the direction of adding more subjects allowed to buy, rent, purchase social houses, ... At the same time, consider reducing the criteria for housing and residential land for workers in purchasing, rent, purchase social houses, specifically remote workers who already have houses, land in the countryside can still purchase, rent social houses near the workplaces for peace of mind in working and production...

Also at the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hong Linh raised a number of issues needed to be paid more attention by the Government and ministries, such as: progress and quality of planning implementation in the provinces; it was necessary to calculate the land fund for planning housing space for people, especially for the poor people; there must be a mechanism to attract social resources to implement social houses for workers...​

Concluding the meeting, Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi assessed that Dong Nai was a big industrial center, if the province's growth was low, the whole country would face difficulties. Therefore, it was suggested that the province continued to review the difficulties and obstacles to propose solutions to overcome. At the same time, paid attention to promoting disbursement of public investment capital; planning as well as trade promotion and business support to promote development. For the recommendations of the province, working delegation would synthesize and propose the Government and the Prime Minister to settle according to their competence.​​
