Speeding up the progress of 2 key traffic projects

​On May 5, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang chaired the 6th meeting of the Steering Committee for the implementation of the investment project on building Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway and Ring Road 3 - Ho Chi Minh City section through the province.

According to the Department of Transport, for the Ring Road 3 project - Ho Chi Minh City, on the last day of May 4, the Provincial Management Board  of Traffic Construction Investment Project has submitted it to the Ministry of Transport for appraisal of construction documents and estimates. The project must be organized a tender to select a construction contractor, so it is very difficult to ensure the project start on June 30.

For the work of site clearance, up to now, the authorities have not issued notices of land acquisition. Up to now, the project has not identified the supply of leveling materials for construction.

With the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway phase 1 project (component project 1), the authorities are currently surveying to propose locations where the project's ground-breaking ceremony can be held on the coming day of June 30. However, the progress of construction of resettlement areas, especially 2 resettlement areas in Bien Hoa city is very slow at present.

Speaking at the conclusion of the meeting, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang emphasized, for the Ring Road 3 - Ho Chi Minh City project, the province's goal was still begin the project on June 30 according to the resolutions of Parliament and the Government. Therefore, relevant agencies must speed up the implementation of the works. Nhon Trach district must quickly complete the procedures for land acquisition. The Provincial Management Board of Traffic Construction Investment Project continued to complete the documents and procedures. At the same time, coordinated with the Department of Planning and Investment to review the provisions of the law to conduct bidding to select construction contractors.

Regarding the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang criticized the People's Committee of Bien Hoa City for the delay in completing the procedures related to the construction of 2 resettlement areas. At the same time, the units are required to speed up the progress, parallelize the site clearance and complete the investment procedures to start the project.​​
