Provincial Party Secretary meets the working group from Donacoop Company

​(CTT-Đồng Nai) - On October 23, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hong Linh met a working group from Donacoop Infrastructure Development Investment Joint Stock Company to prepare necessary investment implementation documents for the Nhon Trach new city project. Other attending leaders were Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc and leaders of departments, and localities of Nhon Trach, Long Thanh, Bien Hoa.

Donacoop company proposed implementing the Nhon Trach New City project with the goal of forming a modern commercial and service metropolis with a planned area of more than 1,76 thousand hectares, located along the Dong Nai River, of which the area in Nhon Trach district is more than 1,6 thousand hectares and more than 160 hectares in Long Thanh district. Therefore, the company proposed to update this project into the general planning of Nhon Trach new urban area and land use planning of Nhon Trach district for the period 2021 - 2030 (ongoing) to serve as a basis for project implementation. This proposal does not mention investment capital or implementation capacity.

At the meeting, representatives of departments, localities and Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc also discussed the legality of the proposal, Resolutions of the Central Government, decisions of the Government... At the same time, the proposed investor also needs to consider the overall situation in the region, the realities, current population and urban conditions, and development needs of present and future…

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Hong Linh said that developing satellite towns to reduce the load on the central area of the province was necessary. Moreover, along with large infrastructure projects such as airports, highways, and seaports, major urban planning and development will boost the overall development of the locality, changing the province's image. In order to achieve the above results, it has to be planned carefully, but unless it is not promptly considered and updated into the provincial general planning, then there will be no basis for it to be implemented. Therefore, the Provincial People's Committee and related units need to carefully study this proposal, then submit it to the Provincial Party Standing Committee for decision. At the same time, the investor also receives comments from local departments and branches on related issues and completes the dossier for further consideration.​
