Opportunity to raise the level for tourist site of Thac Mai – Bau Nuoc Soi.

​Thac Mai – Bau Nuoc Soi tourist site is being accelerated the construction and renovation progress to raise the level of the tourist site according to the Ecotourism, Resort and Entertainment Project (Tourism Project) of the Management Board of Tan Phu Protection Forest in the period of 2021-2030 that has just been approved by the Provincial People's Committee.

This is the first tourism project of Dong Nai exploiting, conserving and promoting the values of forest resources. In order to the project coming into operation soon, the People's Committee of Dinh Quan district is working with the forest management unit and the authorities to speed up the site clearance procedures, inviting potential investors to participate in the implementation of the project.

Famous forest ecological destination

For many years, Thac Mai - Bau Nuoc Soi tourist site has been famous as a destination with its beautiful natural landscape, diverse and rich ecosystems, especially is a natural pond of hot water all year-round with the temperature of 50-600 celsius degree, having a very good effect for relaxation, entertainment and health recovery.

 According to Mr. Le Van Goi, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Tan Phu protection forest has the characteristics of many forest ecosystems such as: closed evergreen broadleaf forest ecosystem, bamboo forest ecosystem, secondary forest of bamboo and broadleaf trees, grasslands, shrubs. There are many beautiful natural landscapes in the forest such as: pond of boiling water, rock population in the area of Mai waterfall, Chin Chi waterfall, Bat Cave and many waterfalls, rivers and streams... Tan Phu protection forest area also has a system of La Nga river flowing sharply, winding with many rapids creating a wonderful landscape, especially when visitors pass through the area of La Nga bridge (La Nga commune, Dinh Quan district), they will admire the beautiful scenery of the river of the floating village that stretches on both sides of the river for kilometers, right at the abutments of the bridge are the places of hundreds of households living by fishing and keeping fishes in floating houses so there is great potential for developing featured tourism products.

 Promoting the value of community tourism

The tourism project of ecotourism, convalescence and entertainment will be implemented in the period of 2023-2030, this is a project creating a premise for the development of forest ecotourism development projects in the coming time. The project's investment capital is nearly 2.8 trillion VND of which mainly from socialization source. The project aims to attract 330,000 visitors per year by 2025, tourism revenue will reach about 176 billion VND per year. By 2030, attracting 730 visitors per year, revenue will reach 460 billion VND per year.

 With the characteristic that the area is inhabited by many local ethnic minorities with the traditional cultural values in house architecture, production, and customs still preserved.... so the tourism project is still towards many values and economic and cultural benefits such as: creating jobs for 1000 - 2000 local and neighboring workers, the project focuses on developing community-based tourism, creating conditions, supporting local communities to develop infrastructure in potential areas, and at the same time mobilizing and using community-produced products in tourism development.

 Ecotourism, resort and entertainment activities according to the proposed scheme will contribute to propagating and educating local people and tourists about the natural, historical and cultural values of the locality, from that raising the awareness of protecting natural resources and the environment, minimizing the impact of people on forest resources, improving the effectiveness of forest management and protection, biodiversity conservation and forest fire prevention.

 Mr. Tran Nam Bien, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dinh Quan district said: according to the plan of the project, there would be 13 points with 8 tourist routes formed passing through the above points. In which, Dinh Quan district has 10 sites with a total area of 486 hectares, the construction area was expected to be nearly 40 hectares at sites and Tan Phu district has three sites with a total area of over 2.1 hectares. Chairman of the People's Committee Dinh Quan district shared: "The district has just been approved by the People's Committee to advance capital from the provincial budget to carry out the asset inventory, to support more than 30 households to relocate out of the planning area to implement the project scheme. Within 45 days, we will complete the relocation support to have a clean ground to call potential investors to exploit tourism advantages, contributing to promoting local socio-economic development in the future".​
