Information technology – The foundation of a country’s infrastructure

The Vietnam Information & Communications Technology Summit (Vietnam ICT Summit) in 2012 will be taking place from June 26th to June 27th in Ha Noi. This notable event is organized by the Central Propaganda Department, and sponsored by the Ministry of Information and Communication, Vietnam Association of soft-wares and Information technology services together with other relevant sectors.
The theme for Vietnam ICT summit 2012 is “Information technology – The foundation for a country’s infrastructure”, aiming at promoting the modernization of national infrastructure via Information technology, adhering to the policy and orientation of Resolution no. 13, approved by Central executive committee term XI about the establishment of infrastructure system in order to develop the country into an industrialized nation aiming at modernization in 2020. The 2012 Vietnam ICT Summit is also a forum for sharing, gathering social knowledge, contributing to the deployment of the Governmental action plan issued on August 6th, 2012 carrying out the Resolution no 13 of the Communist Party; clarifying the position, role and approaches to apply Information technology in accelerating the industrialization and modernization of the country.
The Vietnam Information & Communications Technology Summit focuses on currently urgent issues in infrastructure that can be solved by the application of Information technology, at the same time discusses about strategies, solutions to modernize the infrastructure system to catch up with the world’s trend nowadays, which is the development of intelligent infrastructure based on the application of information technology and communication. The summit comprises of 4 seminars focusing on: Traffic jam, accident reduction by applying information technology; information technology and education – training reform; Intelligent city development in Vietnam; Electronic citizen card.
According to the Vietnam association of soft-wares, those seminars shall not deliver long speeches but open discussion, communication, with interactive participation of the delegates. Those major seminars of the Summit will fully be organized on June 26th and 27th to introduce Information technology solutions serving modernization of sectors.
Those opinions, suggestions at the Summit will be synthesized to come up with an official proposal for State authorities and business community to contribute to the successful deployment of Resolution no. 13 of the Communist party as well as the Governmental action plan; helping with the modernization and improvement of effective investment, the application of Information technology in the management of national infrastructural system./.
