Focus on promoting key tourism projects

​(E. Portal of Dong Nai) - In order to create a breakthrough in the spirit of Resolution 04 of the Provincial Party Committee on developing tourism into an important economic sector, a series of key tourism projects of Dong Nai are being developed on the accelerated path to form tourism products.​

Open direction for tourism projects

As the first ecotourism project approved in March 2023 in the province, the Ecotourism, Resort and Recreation Project of the Tan Phu Management Board of Protection Forest, period 2021-2030 (ecotourism project) is an opportunity for Dinh Quan tourism industry to exploit, conserve and promote the values of forest resources. Mr. Tran Nam Bien, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dinh Quan district, the locality where the ecotourism project planned, said that Dinh Quan was an area with many tourism development resources such as: Thac Mai – Bau Nuoc Soi tourist site (where the Ecotourism Project would be implemented in the future); Ba Giot waterfall tourist site, three-stacked rock natural landscape, bat cave... In particular, Thac Mai - Bau Nuoc Soi tourist site planned to be developed into a world-class tourist site, a center connecting with tourist attractions in the vicinity areas to become a chain of tourist sites attracting domestic and international tourists.

During the implementation of the Ecotourism Project, despite having encountered regulations related to the Land Law, the Forestry Law, etc., but with the regular support of the province, the Scheme was issued, which not only contributing to promoting tourism development, socio-economic development, improving the living standards of local people, but also having a greater meaning of fulfilling a part of the goal of Resolution 04 of the Provincial Party Committee mentioned.

Also entangled with land regulations, for many years, the ecotourism Project of Dong Nai Cultural Nature Reserve (Vinh Cuu District) has always been "sluggish" in speeding up progress. In order to no longer be on paper of the project, the province has directed local departments and agencies to quickly complete the project and submit it to the Provincial People's Committee for promulgation. Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hao, Director of the Conservation Area said that, with the request to speed up the progress, recently the departments had appraised the project and the Nature Reserve was completing the dossier to soon submit it to the departments, branches and the Provincial People's Committee to review for approval in May.

Speeding up the implementation of projects

Along with projects on eco-tourism, resort and entertainment speeding up implementation, a number of other key tourism projects in localities in the province are also being promoted as quickly as possible.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Cat Tien, Chairwoman of Xuan Loc district People's Committee said that in the tourism development planning of the province, Xuan Loc district was one of the areas identified with potential for tourism development. In terms of natural landscape advantages, Xuan Loc had mountains and lakes, such as Chua Chan mountain, Nui Le lake ... which were already very famous, therefore, Xuan Loc determined that tourism would be one of the breakthrough solutions for local development. In order to promote the above advantages, Xuan Loc district People's Committee was completing a sustainable forest management plan to submit to the Provincial People's Committee, departments and branches for appraisal, comments and approval. “When the sustainable forest management plan issued, the district will continue the procedures to invite investors to exploit the local tourism, especially the famous Chua Chan mountain site as a tourist destination of pilgrimage tourism. In the coming time, when the highways and national highway completed, Xuan Loc district will be a connection center, creating lots of conditions for tourists to visit "- Chairwoman of Xuan Loc district People's Committee added.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Vice Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Tourism Development Nguyen Son Hung said that over the past time, Dong Nai tourism had received the close attention and direction of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee, especially the direct direction of the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. Through the meetings, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee oriented the development of tourism; created changes, awareness about the role of tourism development; key tourism projects thereby also being speeded up.

In the coming time, the province would continue to focus on reviewing the progress of key projects, such as: the Project of developing Thac Mai – Bau Nuoc Soi ecotourism that has been approved and being implemented by the province; two projects in the process of appraisal are: Ecotourism and resort project of Dong Nai Cultural Nature Reserve and Ecotourism and resort complex project in the areas of Chua Chan mountain and Nui Le lake; river tourism route…with the hope of creating a change in the spirit of Resolution 04 of the Provincial Party Committee set. In addition, the province would pilot tourism models such as garden eco-tourism, agricultural tourism, experience tourism, etc. in the direction of both meeting the needs of tourists and contributing to increasing income for the people but must ensure compliance with the provisions of the law.​
