Dong Nai province provides the market with 70 thousand tons of meat products

​(News Portal – Dong Nai) - With the advantage of being an industrial province and the livestock capital of the country, Dong Nai province has attracted many businesses and establishments investing in the field of livestock product processing.

According to a report from the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the entire province currently has 47 facilities processing pork and chicken with a scale of about 70 thousand tons of finished products/year, equivalent to 100 thousand tons of raw materials. There are about 150 small establishments processing meat products with an output of nearly 1 thousand tons/year; 130 businesses and 230 small establishments preparing and processing plant-based products; 5 seafood processing enterprises.

Enterprises investing in the processing sector are interested in investing in high technology associated with building brands with product quality. Specifically, the province has over 60 enterprises applying advanced world-class quality management systems such as HACCP and ISO 22000. The majority of processed agricultural, forestry and fishery products are exported in preliminary processed stage. Businesses are gradually turning to investment and technological innovation, focusing on applying advanced standards and technical regulations, increasingly meeting quality and food safety requirements for demanding markets such as the US, EU, and Japan. ​
