Dong Nai partners with Vietnam’s leading adventure tourism company to develop new tourism products

Representatives from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Dong Nai City Tourism Association, local authorities, and tourism businesses also attended the signing ceremony.

Under the agreement, the two parties will jointly conduct research, surveys, and develop plans for eco-tourism products in the reserve. The collaboration aims to create distinctive, experiential tourism offerings while integrating tourism activities with forest protection and biodiversity conservation. The partnership also seeks to raise public awareness of environmental protection and natural resource conservation, generate sustainable livelihoods, and contribute to local economic development.

Speaking at the event, Nguyen Chau A, General Director of Oxalis, said that the signing of the memorandum provides a foundation for the company to deploy experts to study tourism development opportunities within the reserve. According to Nguyen Chau A, ranger-guided forest patrol experiences that allow visitors to learn about biodiversity and conservation efforts have been receiving positive feedback. This is one of the tourism products Oxalis intends to develop, with the expectation that it will attract significant media attention and pave the way for additional tourism offerings, helping position the reserve as a destination appealing to both domestic and international visitors.

Expressing expectations for innovative tourism products in the future, Dinh Thi Lan Huong, Deputy Director of the reserve, emphasized that, in line with directives from the City Party Committee and the City People’s Committee, Dong Nai aims to develop into a green and sustainable tourism destination, strengthening its position on Vietnam’s tourism map. She noted that the reserve hopes the partnership will lead to comprehensive research and careful planning, resulting in unique tourism products that can become signature attractions and a distinctive tourism brand for Dong Nai.

The reserve’s leader also expressed confidence that, with Oxalis as a strategic partner, the reserve can be developed into a destination that highlights the region’s rich natural heritage, cultural identity, historical significance, and local people.
