Dong Nai Military Party Committee successfully carries out its missions

These achievements continue to affirm the political core role and strength of Party building within the military in providing comprehensive leadership over military, defense, and border guard operations. Many outcomes have created breakthrough momentum, laying a solid foundation for the city's armed forces to successfully fulfill their 2026 missions and effectively implement the special 500-day-and-night emulation campaign themed “Unity – Discipline – Efficiency – Breakthrough, building a civilized and modern Dong Nai.”

Driving breakthroughs through action

Colonel Nguyen Thanh Phong, Member of the Dong Nai City Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Military Party Committee, and Political Commissar of the City Military Command, said that with the motto of “staying close to reality, being decisive in direction, and ensuring effective implementation,” Party organizations and grassroots units under the Dong Nai Military Party Committee frankly acknowledged both strengths and shortcomings during the first six months of 2026, while focusing on leadership, and seeking decisive solutions to successfully and comprehensively achieve the established targets and resolutions.

Reviewing several key results, the Dong Nai Military Party Committee successfully led the recruitment and enlistment of citizens, one of the mandatory targets assigned at the beginning of the year, achieving a 100% completion rate with high quality. Notably, Party members accounted for more than 1.84% of recruits. Localities mobilized more than VND8.1 billion in gifts for new recruits, averaging VND1.8 million per person.

“This result affirms the reputation and mass mobilization capability of the city's armed forces in citizen recruitment and enlistment, especially in the first year of implementing the two-tier local government model,” emphasized Colonel Nguyen Thanh Phong.

Regarding mass mobilization and policy work, the Dong Nai Military Party Committee led to complete 100% of the targets for building military-civilian gratitude houses, comradeship houses, and welfare projects. These efforts demonstrate humane policies while contributing to firmly consolidating the “people's heart and mind posture,” joining soldiers and officers of the city's armed forces in firmly safeguarding the Fatherland under all circumstances.

The Dong Nai Military Party Committee also strengthened political and ideological education and promoted the building of a comprehensively strong, exemplary and typical unit. It effectively implemented the 2026 Determined-to-Win Emulation Movement; directed a successful and absolutely safe field exercise at the Tan Tien commune pilot site with the participation of relevant units and border guard stations; and effectively implemented the “5 Proactive Measures in Ideological Work” model, ensuring that 100% of officers and soldiers remained steadfast in their duties and successfully completed assigned tasks. Efforts to protect the Party’s ideological foundation continued to be carried out effectively. One hundred percent of officers and soldiers of the armed forces participated in the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term. All armed forces personnel who stood for election were elected with high confidence votes in their respective constituencies.

The Dong Nai Military Party Committee thoroughly grasped and effectively implemented Party building tasks, strictly carrying out resolutions, directives, and conclusions issued by the Central Committee, the Central Military Commission, the Military Region 7 Party Committee, and the Dong Nai City Party Committee. It has focused on consolidating Party organizations, improving the leadership capacity and combativeness of Party committees and organizations, and effectively implementing inspection, supervision, personnel, and Party member development work. One hundred percent of units achieved absolute political safety, creating a stable and solid working environment.

During the first six months, the Dong Nai Military Party Committee's leadership has remained closely connected to grassroots realities and attentive to the lives of officers and soldiers throughout the force. Activities such as inspecting and encouraging recruit training, monitoring conditions in border areas, and ensuring security and safety for major political events and works by State leaders have been all conducted safely, with assigned missions successfully completed.

Effectively carrying out missions

According to Colonel Nguyen Thanh Phong, during the final six months of 2026, the Dong Nai Military Party Committee will focus on effectively implementing proposed solutions. These include further strengthening unity, focusing on leadership efforts, providing effective advice on military, defense, and border guard tasks, implementing schemes and projects according to established roadmaps, preparing for and organizing the 80th anniversary of the city’s armed forces’ traditional day and the receipt of the First-Class Fatherland Protection Order, and directing improvements in the quality and effectiveness of sourcing, selecting, and calling up citizens for enlistment in 2027, along with propaganda and career guidance for military enrollment. The committee will also provide effective advice on the search, recovery, and identification of martyrs’ remains.

It will continue to effectively lead combat readiness tasks, disaster prevention and control, search and rescue activities, provide effective advice on implementing the Government’s Decrees No. 02 and No. 03, and effectively direct exercises for the Regional Defense Area Command No. 2–Long Khanh, as well as one-sided, two-tier map-based exercises for Dong Nai Regiment, Regiment 736, and defense-area combat exercises in communes and wards in accordance with approved plans.

The committee will further promote the exemplary role of officers and Party members in taking the lead in carrying out assigned tasks, particularly through the example set by Party committees, commanders, and heads of units. It will strictly maintain meeting regimes, effectively implement Party building principles, especially democratic centralism, and continue translating directives and resolutions from higher levels and its own resolutions into tasks tailored to the specific characteristics of each agency and unit to ensure effective leadership and successful task completion. Monitoring and supervision of task implementation will continue under the “6 Clears” mechanism, including “clear person, clear task, clear time, clear responsibility, clear product, and clear authority,” serving as criteria for evaluating performance.

In addition, the Dong Nai Military Party Committee will continue leading and promoting the safe application of digital technology in its activities, contributing to changing management and administrative thinking. It will closely combine the building of a clean and strong Party Committee with the development of comprehensively strong, exemplary and typical armed forces agencies and units, ensuring that officers and soldiers remain ready to accept and successfully complete all assigned tasks. The committee will continue to maintain and uphold discipline under all circumstances. The achievement of 100% absolute political safety across agencies and units during the first six months reflects strict ideological management and the early and proactive assessment of local situations. The committee promptly addresses the difficulties faced by officers and soldiers, fostering consensus and a high degree of unity in both determination and action.

These results continue to affirm the political core role of the Dong Nai Military Party Committee in leading the comprehensive implementation of military, defense, and border guard tasks during the first six months of 2026. This serves as a driving force for the committee to continue leading and providing effective advice to achieve the goals set for 2026, while encouraging Party members, officers, and soldiers throughout the city’s armed forces to actively implement the City Party Committee’s special 500-day-and-night emulation campaign themed “Unity – Discipline – Efficiency – Breakthrough, building a civilized and modern Dong Nai” from May 1, 2026, to September 30, 2027.
