Dong Nai had handed over the entire premises needed for the Long Thanh Airport project phase 1

​(CTT-Dong Nai) - The entire land area invested in the construction of Long Thanh International Airport phase 1 had been completed for site clearance and handed over to relevant units to begin the items' construction by the province. 

Dong Nai had completely handed over the entire premises of more than 2,500 hectares used in the construction of Long Thanh Airport project phase 1.

Handing over more than 2,500 hectares of land
Officially "launched" at the end of 2017 and the beginning of 2018, Dong Nai has completely handed over the entire premises of the project's phase 1 to relevant units.

Mr. Le Van Tiep, Chairman of Long Thanh district People's Committee said, currently, the entire area of 1,810 hectares used in constructing Long Thanh Airport in phase 1 and 722 hectares of redundant land reserve area had been completely clear and handed over to relevant units.

In fact, with a large area of land to be acquired, complex land records, the completion and handover of the entire premises of the project's phase 1 had showed the amount of efforts of the participating units in land acquisition, compensation, support and resettlement.
Long Thanh airport was planned to be built more than 20 years ago. Therefore, with the date of more than “20 years old" and a series of errors compared to the actual land use status when implementing land acquisition, all of which made the site clearance process more difficult.
According to Long Thanh district People's Committee, after a long time of pending, land data in the project area had not been updated and supplemented, causing errors in the origin and status of land use to occur regularly. For example, from 2003 and earlier, the certificates of land use rights issued to people were usually handwritten instead of printed as at present. At that time, the system used for managing land data was still outdated, so the overlapping and wrong allocation of land plots occurred a lot.
Increasing the pace to complete the entire project
Beside 2,5 thousand hectares of land used in the phase 1, Dong Nai also has to keep on the land reclaiming and site clearing process of another 2,5 thousand hectares that will be used in the following phases. 
In the remaining project area, there are nearly 2 thousand hectares belong to more than 4,5 thousand households and individuals. To this day, Long Thanh district had finished approving the compensation and assisting plan for more than 4,4 thousand cases. At the same time, up to the beginning of July, Long Thanh district had also handed over more than 102 hectares of land in this locality to relevant units.
Striving to accomplish all of targets in premises clearance for the Long Thanh Airport project, the government body of Long Thanh district is also pick up the pace in the completion of the 56 remaining unapproved records for compensation and support.  
According to the district's People's Committee, in these remaining 56 unapproved records, 21 of them has been notified of the solution. Of the 35 other records, the compensation board is focusing on promptly complete the records to publicize the compensation and support solution. ​
