Attending the meeting were members of the CPC’s Standing Board, including Tran Trung Nhan, Chairman of the CPC’s Inspection Commission; Duong Minh Dung, Head of the CPC's Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization; and Truong Thi Huong Binh, Director of the Department of Finance.

According to standing members of the Long Thanh ward Party Committee, the locality officially became a ward on April 30, 2026. The ward now comprises 27 residential quarters with nearly 30,500 households. Its Party organization includes 67 subordinate grassroots Party organizations and 2,741 Party members. The ward's organizational structure of Party organs, government bodies, and mass organizations has been established in line with the Central and CPC regulations.

After the organizational restructuring, the ideological situation among officials, Party members and residents has remained stable. Officials, civil servants and public employees have worked beyond regular hours, including weekends, to handle a growing workload.

During the first six months of 2026, Long Thanh has recorded positive socio-economic developments. The locality has attracted growing interest from investors exploring opportunities in business, tourism and services, particularly around Long Thanh International Airport and the planned free trade zone. Warehousing, logistics, accommodation, commercial centers, entertainment and sports services have also drawn significant attention from investors.

Local budget revenue is estimated at VND1.415 trillion by the end of June, exceeding the assigned target of VND1.047 trillion by 35.2 percent. The ward processed approximately 11,200 administrative dossiers during the first half of the year, with 98.81 percent handled on or ahead of schedule. Political security and social order have remained stable, with no complex hotspots emerging. The ward has also implemented measures to promote double-digit economic growth, increase budget revenue and accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital.

Land clearance work has been accelerated for several major projects. The Road 25B upgrade project has completed 94.4 percent of site handover, the Ho Chi Minh City–Long Thanh Expressway expansion project has reached 95.77 percent, and the Road 769 expansion project has completed 95.5 percent of land inventory work. In total, 13 key projects are currently being implemented in Long Thanh ward, with authorities focusing on land clearance efforts.

At the meeting, Long Thanh leaders proposed that the city accelerate planning work to fully capitalize on the potential advantages of Long Thanh International Airport. They also requested greater attention to the development of social housing projects and rental housing in the ward.

City leaders and representatives of departments and agencies suggested that the ward strengthen land management and develop solutions to create jobs for local residents. They also called for a thorough assessment of the causes behind the low public investment disbursement rate during the first half of 2026 in order to improve performance in the remaining months of the year.

In his conclusion at the meeting, Secretary Vu Hong Van acknowledged and praised the achievements of the Long Thanh ward Party Committee during the first half of 2026. He noted that many targets had been met or exceeded, including budget revenue, which surpassed the annual estimate by 35.2 percent, and the high rate of administrative dossier processing.

He urged the ward Party Committee to pursue long-term planning with the goal of developing Long Thanh into a modern airport city ecosystem. Development must be carried out in a planned and sustainable manner, without compromising approved urban planning schemes. Future investment projects should focus on advanced technologies, generate high added value and minimize environmental impacts. Long Thanh must also build an attractive living and working environment capable of drawing high-quality talent.

In addition, the Secretary called on the ward to prioritize the development of services, tourism, education and healthcare. Long Thanh, he said, should become a growth engine not only for Dong Nai but also for the entire southeastern region and the country as a whole. The Secretary encouraged local leaders to move beyond outdated ways of thinking, face challenges directly and remain proactive and creative in their work. He expressed confidence that, with unity, dynamism and aspiration, Long Thanh would join other wards and communes in contributing to the continued development of Dong Nai City.
