Completion of the Dossier for Partial Adjustment of the General Plan for Bien Hoa City in the Urban Area West of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway

(News Portal – Dong Nai) – On August 20th, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai Province, Mr. Vo Tan Duc, presided over a meeting of the Provincial Construction Planning Appraisal Committee to receive a report on the progress of drafting the partial adjustment plan for the general plan at a 1/10,000 scale for Bien Hoa City, extending to 2030 with a vision to 2050, specifically in a section of the urban area west of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway. 

Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai Province, Mr. Vo Tan Duc, expressed his views at the meeting. 

Recently, the relevant authorities of Bien Hoa City have collaborated with consulting units to prepare the dossier for the partial adjustment of the general plan for Bien Hoa City, specifically in a section of the urban area west of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway, focusing on adjustments regarding population scale and land use indicators.

Accordingly, the proposed adjustment involves increasing the population scale from 126,000 to 140,000 people for sub-area C4; and increasing the population scale from 420,000 to 434,000 people for the urban area west of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway.​

Regarding land use indicators, the achieved targets for the urban area west of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway, after the partial adjustment of the general plan for Bien Hoa City in this section (covering Long Hung commune and part of Tam Phuoc ward), include: urban residential land of 51.4 m²/person; urban public center - commercial service land of 4 m²/person; parkland - open space of 8 m²/person; and urban transportation and technical infrastructure land of 18 m²/person.

During the meeting, members of the Provincial Construction Planning Appraisal Committee provided feedback on several aspects related to the dossier for the partial adjustment of the general plan for Bien Hoa City, specifically in a section of the urban area west of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway.

In his remarks at the meeting, Chairman Vo Tan Duc emphasized that the preparation and submission of the dossier for the partial adjustment of the general plan for Bien Hoa City must be carried out openly and transparently, based on the directives of the Government, the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Construction, and the Provincial Party Standing Committee. It should also ensure alignment with the new standards and guidelines for Bien Hoa City, as approved by the Prime Minister in the task of the overall adjustment of the general plan for Bien Hoa City up to 2045, without legitimizing any violations.

Chairman Vo Tan Duc requested that the People's Committee of Bien Hoa City and the consulting unit consider the feedback, revise, and complete the dossier for the partial adjustment of the general plan for Bien Hoa City in a section of the urban area west of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway by August 25, 2024, and submit it to the Department of Construction for appraisal.
