Closing of 17th plenum of the Party Provincial Committee (term IX): Focus on nine key tasks

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Tran Dinh Thanh, member of Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial party committee has proposed the Party committees, the government, departments and agencies to focus on undertaking the nine key tasks. Of which, he emphasized the leadership and directed the related agencies to fulfill the missions for economic development; to enhance the competitiveness of all economic sectors; to keep assisting business community in overcoming difficulties, particularly  for businesses damaged by extremists abusing of anti-China protest to surmount consequences together with resume their operations. At the same time, it is necessary to encourage, support and sustain the faith of enterprises, foreign investors in long-term investment in Dong Nai.  

Mr. Tran Dinh Thanh has also demanded increasingly support for enterprises in consuming the products, expanding the market, accessing to credits; especially in agriculture, export, supporting industries, high-tech contained industries. In addition, science and technology should be encouraged to develop and apply in production - business activities in order to increase productivity, improve quality in satisfaction to requirements of domestic and international market, etc.

He also requested party committees; party civil affairs committee; party committees appointed to offices and other organizations; leaders of departments, agencies and organizations to urgently review the performance results of targets and tasks in accordance with Resolution issued in the 9th plenum of Party Provincial Committee, Resolution 06 issued by the provincial party committee. Regarding targets with unsatisfactory results, responsibilities of related individuals and groups must be identified in assigning or performing tasks. At the same time, it is essential to predict factors that may affect the implementation period of political targets for the province authority, departments and agencies to identify key and foremost tasks need taking in the upcoming time.

In the previous discussion regarding the draft Plan of Provincial Party Committee on implementing Resolution no.29 of Party Central Committee (Term XI) on transforming fundamentally or entirely education & training system for the purpose of satisfying the requirement for industrialization and modernization in the context of socialist-oriented market economy and international integration, most of the attendees have reached a consensus about prioritizing development of education and training. 

Education and training must be completely renovated, especially in terms of vocational training quality and classification of students from lower-secondary level.

At the conference, Mr. Tran Van Tu, member of Standing Commission of Party Central Committee, Head of delegation of Provincial National Assembly, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council together with Mrs. Phan Thi My Thanh, member of Standing Commission of Party Central Committee, Vice-Chairwoman of provincial People’s Committee have been elected as Deputy Secretary of the 9th Provincial Party Committee, 2010-2015 tenure.
