A shining example in production labor

Portal of Dong Nai) Over the past years, the movement to promote initiative and technical improvement has always been focused on launching by the Trade Union of Truong Hai Group Joint Stock Company (THACO), contribute to promoting the spirit of labor and creativity in union members and workers. From the emulation movements, there have been many bright examples appeared in production labor. In which, it is worth mentioning the example of Nguyen Trieu Toan, Head of the planning department of the production factory of auto body parts.

Mr. Nguyen Trieu Toan guides employees working at the factory

Graduating in mechanical engineering, Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry in 2019, engineer Nguyen Trieu Toan was accepted to work at the factory as a technical specialist. In the first days, he was quite surprised when approaching modern lines, machines and technology, but with his own efforts as well as training courses and support from colleagues, he quickly adapted and mastered the job.

With passion, responsibility and grasping technology trends, Mr. Toan has implemented many initiatives and improvements, bringing practical benefits to the factory. Specifically, when realizing that the system did not meet the delivery volume, Mr. Toan researched and registered the topic "Improving the welding process of the rear hood of cars". With the expansion of the steel truss frame by 4.5 meters compared to the original to produce 2 complete welding stations in parallel, it saved welding time, created a convenient working space for workers, ensured output and progress delivery rate.

With relentless creativity in his work, in the first quarter of 2023, Mr. Toan and his colleagues in all departments and divisions at the Factory successfully carried out the project of designing and installing the Andon system combined with improvement of Moving Part production finishing line to support operation, monitor the production system visually, contributed to increase productivity, saved more than 170 million VND. Mr. Toan shared: “I am very happy that my initiatives and improvements have contributed to increasing production efficiency and saving costs for the company. Being able to work in a dynamic and modern environment helps me to improve my thinking ability, practice perseverance and care at work."

Previously, in 2022, Mr. Toan had 12 projects to help speed up progress, increase productivity and product quality, and save more than VND 460 million for the company. For example: researched and improved the welding process of car rear capo products; designed and converted existing shelves of finished products for export products; perfected the baling standard and standarded the design of the finished products commom uesd for body and tire products… With his contributions in the process of labor, creativity, and practical benefits to the company, Mr. Toan honored being commended by the Board of Directors of the factory for individual achievements in having the most effective research topics in the movement of identifying and eliminating waste in 2022

Mr. Nguyen Hong Hai, production Manager of the factory said that Toan's initiatives and improvements focused on the field of design and improvement of equipment and materials which required careful and meticulous calculations, details to ensure technical requirements and production schedule. During the implementation process, Mr. Toan always worked hard to research, discussed and exchanged with colleagues and superiors to find the most optimal solutions. Not only self-exploring, contributing many valuable initiatives and improvements, Mr. Toan was also an exemplary, active and responsible employee at work, contributed to promoting the spirit of dedication and initiative creativity of the personnel of the factory.

According to Thaco Trade Union, from emulation and innovation movements of the labor force, every year, there are thousands of ideas bringing optimal solutions for production and business activities and more than 1,000 initiatives, technical improvements with high technology content applied to production. Thaco has commended and rewarded typical engineers and workers with topics and initiatives that have been researched and applied in practice. In which, in addition to the typical example of Nguyen Trieu Toan, there are many union members and workers who constantly study, research, create, improve quality, production processes, and contribute to sustainable development of Thaco Group.​​
