The conference on summarizing 2006 four steering committees

The activities of the four steering committees are the coordination among departments and sectors of the province and the People's Committees of districts, Long Khanh town and Bien Hoa city in order to develop trades, tourism and service in the province in 2006. According to reports of sectors, last year, trades of Dong Nai continues being reformed and developed. Besides, the export turnover grew significantly (the export turnover reached more than  4.2 million USD, increased by 34.2 percent in comparison with the same period and exceeded 11.8 percent compared to the plan), particularly foreign-invested enterprises.

In 2006, Dong Nai market continued to be eventful. The scale was expanded, the total retail sales value of goods and service considerably increased and models and methods to do business was more various and novel etc. The tourism branch has conducted 36 projects for construction of works to grow tourist attractions in the area and 4 projects has then come into operation. In estimation, the total series of tourists of the year reached 855,000, getting the turnover of over 168 billion VND.

Steering programs to develop service for labourers at the industrial zones has received certain results such as: buying vehicles used for workers transportation (the total number of worker-transporting vehicles is currently 209). The authority of market developing program focused on steering the upgrading and building new traditional market network, building supermarkets and building trade centres etc. Two supermarkets are scheduled to finish by 2010.

At the conference, plans and duties for 2007, which were also passed, focused on major affairs such as: domestic trades, export and tourism in the way of fostering obtained aspects in order to make drastic changes in economic development in general and in the fields of trades and service in particular.
