Ten-year implementation of the Central Resolution No.5, (term 8th) leads to positive changes in thought, morality and lifestyle of party’s members and people.

Le Hong Phuong addressed at the conference

The conference was attended by Truong Minh Nhat – Head of the Central Department of Propaganda’s Standing Agency (HCMC), Le Hong Phuong - Vice Secretary of the Provincial Party’s Committee, Vo Van Mot - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Huynh Van Toi – Head of the Party Committee’s Propaganda Board and representatives from other departments, sectors, organizations, districts, Long Khanh Town and Bien Hoa City.

Huynh Van Toi gave a summing up report on ten-year implementation of the Central Resolution No.5 on the building and development of a Vietnamese advanced culture strongly marked by the national character. In the last ten years, the Resolution No.5 and the Resolution No.39 of the Provincial Party's Committee were disseminated widely and deeply to 100 percent of grass-root party organizations and 90 percent of the party’s members, the report showed. The achievements in implementing the resolutions were gained in a number of aspects like the building of sound thought, morality, lifestyle and cultural lives, which led to progress and positive changes in the Party and the whole society, according to the report.

At the conference, representatives of the units discussed and make suggestions on 3 special issues in the Central Resolution No.5.

Speaking at the conference, Truong Minh Nhat highly appreciated the effort made by the Provincial Party's Committee and its Propaganda Board in directing the implementation of the Central Resolution No.5. He agreed on the Provincial Party Committee’s summing up report and the representatives’ suggestions.

He said that Dong Nai was the first province which organized a conference to sum up the implementation of this Resolution and did a rather good job of connecting the Resolution with other campaigns such as Resolution No.62, Resolution No.6 and so on

To do a better job in the coming time, he suggested that the province should have a clear understanding of the resolution implementation’s objectives, viewpoints and solutions, identify the cultural development as the society’s spiritual foundation and the basis for the social justice and develop the culture in all aspects to attach the culture to socio-economic development.

Building a cultural lifestyle is one of the key duties of the Central Resolution No.5

As a province located in the southern key economic zone, he said, Dong Nai needed to train outstanding people in every field in order not to let traditional values fall into oblivion and at the same time to add more new values in the development process. It also needed to gather talents and material resources to build culture, creating a particular culture for Dong Nai, he added.

Le Hong Phuong acknowledged Nhat’s opinions and he then talked about the duties of the Provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board when implementing the Resolution No.5 as follows:

- Continue to disseminate the key ideas of the Resolution No.5 to officials, party’s members and people from all walks of life;

- Strengthen administrative reform and deal with urgent matters

- Intensify popularization and education on patriotism and the love for socialism to officials, party’s members and people, especially the young generation;

- Care for the material and spiritual lives of the people, especialy those of ethnic minority people and people living in remote and deep-lying areas;

- Invest more in cultural work and promote socialization of cultural activities to effectively use the human resources.
