Paying a visit and working at Dong Nai, The General Secretary Nong Duc Manh stated: Dong Nai employed the Party’s Resolutions positively, creatively and suitably with the local situation

At the working session on 25^th February morning, Mr. Tran Dinh Thanh reported to the General Secretary that in many consecutive years Dongnai economic structure has strongly developed in terms of industry, service and agriculture, among which industry accounted for 57% in 2006. The province’s economic growth rate also increased continuously over each year, with that of 2006 making up 14.3%. In the Party construction, Dong Nai carried out effectively the Central Committee’s Resolutions with specific action programs like deployment of the study of the Party’s Resolutions via online network and live television produced high results; and Dong Nai is the province that has pioneered the concern about setting up fundamental organizations and developing the Party in the community of religious and ethnic fellow-men and employees working for foreign capital enterprises.

Stating at the working session, The General Secretary Nong Duc Manh said that comparing with the visit 5 years ago, Dong Nai today is completely new in the comprehensive development direction. Dongnai province is striving for getting ahead of the whole country with a goal of becoming an industrially modern-oriented province in 2010. However, The General Secretary also noted that besides developing industry, Dong Nai needed to focus on hastening the service development corresponding with its conditions and potentials. The province also needs to identify the relationship between agriculture and industry in the direction of applying bio-technology to agricultural development, industrial trees in particular, in order to create a quality, on-the-spot and stable material region which can serve the processing industry of agricultural products and foodstuff. According to Mr. Nong Duc Manh, that is Dong Nai’s fundamental matter in its industrialization and modernization in agricultural and rural respects. In addition, the provincial Party Committee needs to concern more about the capital investment on building infrastructure, solving employment problem, increasing lives of people from mountainous and remote areas; and needs to have policy on bringing industry into country sides to create conditions for rural economic development. The General Secretary was very glad when Dong Nai has built 3 mountainous industrial zones in the districts of Tan Phu, Dinh Quan, Xuan Loc and many factories and enterprises have been opened in rural and remote areas. The General Secretary also pressed that the province’s planning should attach to the region’s planning and the whole country’s; should take advantage of regional geography and traffic infrastructure to focus on faster economic development. Yet, in economic development, there should be attention paid to ecological environment protection, social stability, and solutions to potential problems especially accommodation and employment to those whose land is reclaimed to serve for industrial and urban development. In the Party construction, the General Secretary Nong Duc Manh appreciated Dong Nai as the leading province of the Southeast with the largest number of Party members. That is a big advantage and at the same time shows the whole Party’s concern in the Party development. Dong Nai also employed the Party’s Resolutions positively, creatively and suitably with the local situation.

* Before that, on 24^th February afternoon, the General Secretary Nong Duc Manh came to visit and worked with the Management Board of Dongnai Industrial Zone; came to visit and worked with the Leading Board and representative workers of Fujitsu Company (Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Zone); paid a visit and sent New Year’s wishes to heroic Vietnamese mothers Tran Thi Hai and colonel Tran Cong An- the hero of the armed forces.
