Letter of welcoming new year by Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province to fellow-citizens, cadres and soldiers in the whole province

        On the occasion of welcoming the new year 2008, the year of Rat, greeting the 78^th anniversary of the foundation of Vietnam Communist Party (Feb 2^nd 1930 – Feb 2^nd 2008), marking the 40th anniversary of 1968 Tet Offensive and Uprising,  congratulating on the event that our nation has been elected as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council (for the 2008-2009 term), the Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province affectionately send thoughtful regards, new year wishes of health, happiness, prosperity and victory to the fellow-citizens, cadres, soldiers, heroic Vietnamese mothers, heroes of armed forces, heroes of labor, senior revolutionary cadres, wounded soldiers, families with meritorious services to the nation, working class, farmers and intellectuals, businessmen, pupils and students, provincial youngsters, and Dong Nai overseas compatriots.

Dear fellow-citizens, cadres and soldiers!

        In 2007, the Party Committee and Dong Nai people has made great efforts to step up patriotic competition movements, overcome all difficulties, challenges and determined to carry out successfully the targets and goals of the 2007 Resolution set by the Provincial Party Committee. The economy continues to gain the high growth rate (15.1% of GDP) and becomes steadier compared to the previous years. Attracting internal and external capital investment sharply increases. The economic structure transfers positively and properly. People’s material and spiritual lives are increased, for the first time the service growth rate is higher than the common growth of the economy. The spiritual and material life of the local people has been much more improved. Culture and society have progressive changes. The situation of political security and social order and safety is stabilized. The political system is strengthened, reinforced and improved in terms of operational quality.

       The Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province would like to gratefully thank and heartily praise fellow-citizens, cadres and civil servants, officials workers and laborers all over the province for the spirit of difficulty-overcoming, effort and exertion, activeness, creativity in labor and work, which help to contribute to making great achievements in 2007.

        2008 is a highly significant year which is the third year of performing the Resolution adopted by the tenth National Party Congress and the Resolution adopted by the 8th Provincial Party Committee Congress, and which is the first year our country has been elected as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, which is the second year the Party Committee and Dong Nai people have carried out the campaign entitled “Study and follow Ho Chi Minh’s moral example” and which is the second year our country has implemented the commitments to the World Trade Organization (WTO). Dong Nai province, together with the whole nation step into a new stage- the stage of international economic integration. Achievements in innovative years will be the favorable conditions for the province to keep on hastening the rates of industrialization and modernization.

         The Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province respectfully call upon fellow-citizens, cadres and civil servants, officials workers and laborers all over the province and Dong Nai overseas compatriots to increase solidarity, promote the patriotism, the spirit of self-help for self-improvement, glorious revolutionary traditions, overcome all difficulties and challenges, mobilize a high degree every resources, step up patriotic competition movements, make more positive changes in all aspects, accomplish excellently socio-economic missions from the early month or first quarter of the year 2008 and making the homeland Dong Nai richer and richer, more and more beautiful and civilized.
