Ideology-Cuture Work Summation Meeting ended with many solutions of break-throughs

Discussed at the meeting, most opinions of the representatives were unanimous, saying that in the past 2006, the Ideology and Culture branch has gained a number of important achievements which help to hold fast to and stabilize the national politics and development. However, although the nation’s situation and strength is getting stronger and stronger and the lives of all classes of people are improved clearly, there are still a lot of worries and anxiety in social ideology. This is a big problem facing ideological and cultural workers within the whole country. The representatives think it’s the slowness in renovating the contents and mode of operation that makes the ideological work unable to keep pace with the demands of innovative career. The branch’s operation lacks dialogic feature, reality, flexibility and activeness. Confronting many significant issues of the nation, the ideological work is not oriented timely and accordingly.

The meeting spent much time assessing focused missions in 2007 of the Ideology and Culture branch. Among those, 10 focused tasks and 7 programs were considered as being able to performed successfully and even outdone with a determination to make breakthroughs in strongly innovating the contents and mode of operation, multiplying the good and suppressing the bad, using the positive to driving back the negative. One of the missions of high level of unanimity of the representatives was the organization of the campaign “Study and follow the ethical example of Uncle Ho”. This has to be considered as being a greatly and socially significant campaign drawing interest and attention and serious study attitude of all people. However, in order to gain these targets, cadres and Party members have to exemplarily pioneer. Besides, the training, cultivation and planning of the cadres in charge of ideological and cultural work meets the increasing demands of the national construction and protection career; the continuation to strengthen the machinery of ideological and cultural work from the central to the grassroots levels, ensuring sufficient in quantity and satisfying the demands of quality is particularly focused.

Stating to end the meeting, Mr. To Huy Rua stressed that 2007 is the year that our nation deeply integrates into the international economy, which requires the Ideology and Culture branch innovate and make break-throughs to meet increasing demands of the development. The whole branch has seen its responsibilities in leaving the social ideology with worries and anxiety and determined to renovate propagandic methods, train the cadres, enhance the dialogic feature in propagandizing instructions and resolutions of the Party and the State to people, pay more attention to the issues interested by the society so as to orient, propagandize and mobilize timely and effectively.
