A delegation from the Central Home Affairs Committee paid a working visit to Dong Nai province.

Mr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh, member of the Central Party Committee and Assistant Head of the Central Home Affairs Committee is giving his guidelines.

 Receiving and working with the delegation were Mr. Le Hong Phuong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Mr. Vo Van Mot, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of provincial People’s Committee.

According to the report made by the provincial People’s Committee, in the first two months of this year, 40 strikes had taken place in the province. Most of them are in foreign invested enterprises, especially that of Korea, Taiwan and Japan. The main cause of these strikes is that employers have not fully and correctly implemented the Government Decision No. 3. Besides, the weaknesses of Labor Union in these enterprises are also blamed for the outbreaks of these strikes. However, with the prompt actions of the provincial authorities, departments and agencies, most of these strikes are quickly solved.

Addressing at the working session, the Assistant Head of the Central Home Affairs Committee praised provincial authorities for their quick responses. He also urged the provincial authorities to establish a committee for dealing labor disputes. He reminded that the province should enhance the role of Labor Union in each foreign invested enterprise so as to protect the rights of employees.
