2019 is forecasted that the industrial production will have a higher growth rate than the previous year, because right from the beginning of the year, enterprises have received orders until the end of the year and they must speed up from the beginning of the year to meet orders.
The province’s plan for 2019 is that industrial production value will increase by nearly 9% and boost exports to increase by 10-12% compared to 2018. With many free trade agreements signed and effective, the above-mentioned plan is said to be not too difficult.

Beginning a year with “smooth sailing”
At the beginning of the year, many businesses in the province have constantly expanded production to meet the large orders of foreign partners. Large orders have been signed and enterprises are less worried about the output, only focusing on production with consumer markets expanding both domestic and export. Especially exports have expanded to more than 170 countries and territories to limit dependence on several markets.
Comments by economic experts show that this year, the sectors: manufacturing, exporting textiles, footwear, textile fibers, machinery and equipment, electronics, electronic components, wood products ... will continue to have high growth. Mr. Nguyen Van Hoang, Deputy General Director of Dong Tien Joint Stock Company in Amata Industrial Park (Bien Hoa City) said: “We produce export clothes and have received orders until the end of 2019. Currently the company is continuing to recruit more workers, expanding production to keep up with orders. The company’s main customers are from Europe, the United States and Japan. Also according to Mr. Hoang, the company refused some orders because they could not meet.
Mr. Montri Suwanposri, General Director of C.P Vietnam Livestock Corporation, said: “In terms of processing and exporting aquatic products, the company’s export market this year is quite favorable. C.P has received large orders so it will proceed to expand exports. At the same time, C.P is preparing to export chicken to Japan and some other markets”.
In January 2016, Dong Nai’s enterprises exported over 1.73 billion USD, increased by 6% compared to the previous month and nearly 7% over the same period last year. This is a good sign for the province’s industrial production, proving that industrial production is expanding and increasing capacity. The US-China trade conflict is still ongoing, orders are moving more to Vietnam, including Dong Nai. Dong Nai enterprises take advantage of this opportunity to expand production and export to increase their competitiveness. However, businesses should not only focus on the US market but should expand many markets to reduce risks”- Director of Department of Industry and Trade, Mr. Duong Minh Dung emphasized.
Opportunities for support industry firms
Currently, both manufacturing and exporting enterprises are paying attention to finding domestic raw material sources to meet the requirements of origin and enjoy preferential tariffs. Therefore, with supporting industrial production enterprises, if they meet 3 basic requirements: good quality, quantity guaranteed, competitive prices will be easier to find opportunities to receive large orders.
Mr. Mai Khanh, Director of Company Limited Trading Manufacturing Plastics Engineering VinaStar (Bien Hoa City) said: “The company’s products are a model for other industrial production industries. In order to meet the demand for domestic and export enterprises, we have invested in modern machinery to ensure quality and quantity. Because many stages are automated, the product cost is low so Vinastar receives many orders from foreign enterprises in the area and Korean and Japanese enterprises”. Whereby, this company has received orders until the third quarter of 2019, and they must increase capacity from the beginning of the year to meet the productivity.
Many other supporting industry enterprises in Dong Nai have also received orders by the end or the end of the year. In the meeting with Korean, Japanese, Taiwanese (Chinese) enterprises at the end of 2018, the chairman of foreign business associations in Dong Nai all proposed the provincial People’s Committee to act as a bridge to organize many domestic trade promotion campaigns, so that foreign businesses in the area could meet industrial enterprises supporting Dong Nai, to link and supply products to each other.
According to Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Tran Van Vinh, in the province many output products of this enterprise are inputs of other enterprises, so in the coming time, the province will continue to expand domestic trade promotion. In recent years, Dong Nai has also done well the promotion of domestic trade, many businesses find domestic raw materials, so the import decreased and trade surplus increased. Dong Nai has become one of the provinces and cities leading the country in export and trade surplus.
