In recent time, although farmers in the province has formed production and consumption link, agricultural production is still very dispersed and lacks large specialized areas. And the preliminary and post-harvest process is mostly hand-made. Apart from several factories of food, cashew nut and coffee processing, the rest of agricultural products are now sold in the form of raw materials and served for local consumption. The objective of the proposal aims to come up with structures and policies to lower loss during post-harvest stage for key products (including rice, corn, coffee, cashew, pepper, leafy and fruit vegetable, fruit and aquatic products). The proposal is based on the data collection and investigation of key products to seek those problems that need to be solved. It comprises such activities as assessing the loss condition of agricultural and aquatic product post-harvest in the province; proposing target, content, structure and policy of loss control for key agricultural and aquatic product during harvest, transportation, pre-process and process, etc.
