According to Vietnam Expressway Corporation (VEC), VEC will immediate technical open section from An Phu to Ring 2 intersection (under section 1) of the north - south highway project on segment Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay on January 10.
When put into operation the highway will connect Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Highway with East West Avenue, an important transport route of Ho Chi Minh City and contribute to solve overcrowding at the gate of Ho Chi Minh City to neighboring provinces, reducing time and increasing accessibility, connectivity with the vehicle from the city center to highway is 4km instead of nearly 9km as before.
