Dong Nai and Cuba strengthen cooperation on health and construction

​On June 11, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Tran Van Vinh received Indira Lopez Arguelles, Cuban Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City to pay a courtesy call on provincial leaders.

At the meeting, through Mrs. Indira Arguelles, the provincial leader thanked the Cuban Government and people for their great support to Vietnam in the struggle to liberate the nation, and hoped that there would be many matches between the two countries further work in the fields of economy, culture and society.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Van Vinh also informed Mrs. Indira Lopez Arguelles of the situation of economic development, attracting foreign investment, import-export turnover in the past time of the province. In particular, the province is in the process of promoting to build Long Thanh International Airport - the largest airport project in Vietnam, promising to promote the exchange and cooperation in all aspects between Dong Nai and other provinces, city and abroad.
Indira Lopez Arguelles, Cuban Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, wants to raise the economic and trade relations to the level of the two countries, including the cooperation with Dong Nai in the fields of health care, biotech fertilizer production and construction.
Indira Lopez Arguelles said that taking doctors abroad to work is Cuba's strength. In addition, there are a number of construction companies with more than 50 Cuban experts who are consulting, supervising and working at Vietnam's major transport projects. If Dong Nai needs the above fields, Cuba is willing to cooperate to help the two sides develop.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Van Vinh assigned the Department of Foreign Affairs to act as a focal point for exchanging information with the Cuban side in areas where the province is in need of human resources and investment to cooperate.
