Currently 31/31 Industrial Parks in the province are operating with centralized wastewater treatment plants with a total capacity of nearly 172 thousand m3 / day and night.

Pour trillions VND into sewage treatment system

When in operation, all Industrial parks in the province have centralized wastewater treatment plants. Enterprises (EN) in the Industrial Park connect directly with the wastewater treatment plant to facilitate the management and treatment of wastewater before discharging into the environment. Therefore, enterprises investing in industrial zone infrastructure in the province are forced to build a centralized wastewater treatment system from the beginning. Up to now, enterprises investing in infrastructure of industrial zones in Dong Nai have spent VND 1,840 billion as centralized wastewater treatment systems.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Quynh, Deputy Director of Dinh Quan Industrial Zone Joint Stock Company said: “The amount of wastewater of enterprises in Dinh Quan Industrial Park is only nearly 100 m3 / day and night, but the company still invests in a centralized wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of about 1.8 thousand m3 / day. The company strictly manages the wastewater treatment to ensure environmental standards before discharging into the river”.

The majority of infrastructure investors in industrial parks build a centralized wastewater treatment plant with a larger capacity than the amount of business’s operating wastewater in the area.

Waste water must meet standards

 

In Dong Nai IPs, there are more than 1.7 thousand projects of domestic and foreign enterprises operating. The total amount of wastewater generated by the enterprises in the IPs is 119,446 m3 / day, the amount of wastewater collected is directly connected to the concentrated wastewater treatment plant of 90,363 m3 / day, the wastewater of the enterprise is licensed to discharge. direct discharge of about 28,991 m3 / day and unconnected wastewater of about 92 m3 / day

In the province, there are 25 industrial parks with automatic wastewater monitoring equipment installed, the remaining 6 industrial zones due to the little unstable wastewater, will be installed automatic monitoring when there is sufficient amount of wastewater.

Automated wastewater monitoring system in industrial parks is transmitted to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to monitor and promptly warn and prevent if environmental incidents occur.

According to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Dong Nai is a good province in protecting the environment in industrial zones. By the beginning of 2019, provinces and cities across the country only met the Government's requirement that 100% of industrial zones and export processing zones in operation must have centralized wastewater treatment systems, the province has implemented the requirements. This is nearly 10 years ago.

Vice Chairman Vo Van Chanh affirmed: “Dong Nai attaches great importance to environmental protection in the province, especially in industrial zones. Therefore, industrial parks and enterprises licensed to directly discharge large amounts of waste must install automatic wastewater monitoring systems.”.
