(News Portal – Dong Nai) - On May 6th, Deputy Minister Le Anh Tuan led a working delegation from the Ministry of Transport to meet with the Provincial People's Committee on the progress of key transportation projects in the province. The delegation also met with Vice Chairman Vo Van Phi of the Provincial People's Committee, as well as leaders from departments, agencies, the People's Committee of Bien Hoa City, and Long Thanh District.

During the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Anh Tuan requested that the functional agencies of the province coordinate with Project Management Unit 85 to compile and estimate the total cost of compensation and land clearance for the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project in May 2024. Based on this, the Ministry of Transport will have a basis to propose that the relevant agencies consider adjusting the feasibility study report, allocate funds, and expedite capital disbursement.
Deputy Minister Le Anh Tuan also urged the Provincial People's Committee to direct the Project Management Unit for investment and construction of provincial transportation projects to implement measures to accelerate the progress of Component 1 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project. Currently, the capital disbursement progress for Component 1 is quite low. At the same time, local authorities are coordinating efforts to resolve obstacles related to the supply of landfill materials and relocation of technical infrastructure to facilitate the project's construction. The construction of resettlement areas is also being expedited.
According to the compilation by the Construction and Quality Management Bureau of the Ministry of Transport, as of May 4th, for the section of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project within Dong Nai province, the local authorities have handed over nearly 37 hectares of land, reaching nearly 27% of the total land area to be acquired for Component 1. For Component 2, approximately 49 hectares have been handed over, accounting for nearly 28% of the total land area to be acquired.

In concluding remarks at the working session, Vice Chairman Vo Van Phi stated that Dong Nai province is making efforts to fulfill its commitment to the Prime Minister by handing over the entire land for the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project before June 30th. In recent times, the province has actively directed and developed plans to enhance land clearance work, with a focus on completing the project's surveying and counting by May 20th within a continuous 30-day period.
Regarding the relocation of technical infrastructure systems under the provincial authority, the Provincial People's Committee will instruct the Department of Industry and Trade to promptly implement the necessary measures to facilitate the project's construction.
