(News Portal – Dong Nai) - Dong Nai province is accelerating the implementation and development of tourism products to promote the growth of the smokeless industry with distinctive, culturally rich, and authentic tourism products that highlight the essence of Dong Nai's culture and its people.
The Dong Nai Nature and Culture Conservation Area has received provincial approval for an Ecotourism and Resort Project, which includes various attractive tourism products upon completion.
According to the Resolution of the 11th Provincial Party Congress, tourism is one of the four breakthrough tasks for the 2020-2025 term. To achieve this goal, the tourism sector is embarking on a race to create new tourism products while promoting and establishing connections with tourism enterprises to effectively exploit these products, aiming to make significant strides in line with the set objectives.
Since 2023, Dong Nai has issued two forest ecotourism projects in Dinh Quan and Vinh Cuu districts, as well as approved the construction of a notable agritourism product in Tan Trieu pomelo village, Binh Hoa commune, Vinh Cuu district, by the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.
Furthermore, Dong Nai is intensifying its efforts in raising awareness, promoting, and inviting tourism experts to survey, consult, and support local residents in developing agritourism based on existing potentials. According to the plan, these will be new tourism products that bring about breakthroughs in the tourism industry in accordance with the goals set forth in the provincial Party Committee's resolution for the 2020-2025 period.
Ms. Dinh Thi Lan Huong, Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Nature and Culture Conservation Area, which manages over 100 hectares of forest, shared that a master plan for eco-tourism, resort, and entertainment projects within the conservation area has been implemented in Vinh Cuu district from 2021 to 2030. The plan includes the development of 51 tourism sites, 37 forest exploration routes, and connecting tourism routes. The Ecotourism Project is one of the two projects that have garnered public attention and expectations for early implementation in recent years. Therefore, the Conservation Area is establishing criteria to invite investors to participate in bidding for the execution of tourism projects. Investors who meet the criteria will be eligible to submit applications for bidding. According to the estimated plan, by 2024, the conservancy will select investors for two projects: the Safari Wildlife Conservation Area and the Aviation Park.
In addition to the project developments, agritourism sites, and other initiatives, procedures are also being carried out for the implementation of various projects, such as the ecotourism resort complex in the Chua Chan mountainous area and Nui Le Lake in Xuan Loc district, river tourism routes in Bien Hoa city, and eco-tourism integrated urban areas in several localities within the province, all of which are receiving attention and support for their development.
With the aim of constructing, enhancing, and upgrading multiple tourism products, Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Loan, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, stated that according to the plan, Dong Nai will have several new tourism products by 2025. With their scale and attractiveness, these products will serve as a catalyst, setting new milestones for tourism in Dong Nai, aligning with the four breakthroughs outlined in the province's resolution for the 2020-2025 period.
