(News Portal – Dong Nai) - Lilama 2 International Technology College and Vietnam Airlines Engineering Company Limited (VAECO) recently held a signing ceremony for a collaboration and training contract in aviation technical workforce.

Currently, Lilama 2 International Technology College is training 17 students in the field of aircraft maintenance engineering. These students have all achieved an English proficiency level of A2 when admitted. After completing their training at the college, these students will be directly enrolled in training programs at VAECO. In the upcoming academic year, Lilama 2 International Technology College will continue to recruit students for three aviation-related majors, with a quota of 25 students per major.
According to Mr. Tran Quoc Hoai, General Director of VAECO, the demand for technical personnel recruitment in the company is expected to be substantial in the near future. Currently, the company needs to recruit hundreds of technicians annually. Specifically, for Long Thanh International Airport, VAECO will establish an aircraft maintenance center there. In the first phase of Long Thanh Airport, the demand for technical personnel recruitment is estimated to be around 400 people. The scale of VAECO's technical workforce is expected to reach approximately 4,000 to 5,000 employees upon completion of the third phase of Long Thanh Airport.
According to VAECO representatives, the starting salary for fresh graduates in aircraft maintenance engineering is around 14 million VND per month (for those with A-level certification). Meanwhile, certified technicians with B-level certification can earn a monthly salary of approximately 35-38 million VND. However, employees must strictly adhere to the discipline and rigorous technical requirements of the aviation industry. To become an official technician at VAECO, candidates must successfully pass the company's recruitment process.
