Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Hong Linh meets representatives of industrial parks

(News Portal – Dong Nai) - On the afternoon of November 3, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hong Linh met investors of Long Thanh high-tech industrial park and Loc An – Binh Son Industrial Park in Long Thanh district. Joining the delegation were Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee Duong Minh Dung, Secretary of the Long Thanh District Party Committee; Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang and representatives of departments and divisions.

Long Thanh High-Tech Industrial Park has an area of 410 hectares, with a total investment capital of 282 million USD. The project aims to attract new technology manufacturing industries, creating added value in technical technology. To date, the Industrial Park has completed site clearance of 247 hectares (about 60%), officially began the infrastructure construction from the beginning of July 2023. This industrial park also received attention from 150 investors with a total expected investment of more than 2.5 billion USD.

Ever since July this year, Long Thanh High-tech Industrial Park has attracted 6 investment projects. It is expected that at the end of March 2024, the first customer will conduct trial runs before officially going into production from the second quarter of 2024.

For Loc An-Binh Son Industrial Park, with a total area of 243 hectares, it has attracted 54 factories, with a completion rate of 72.5%. Of these, 42 factories have been put into operation with a total workforce of about 16 thousand people and 1 billion USD of investment capital. The infrastructure investor is deploying a clean land bank for 2024 within the remaining area with the orientation of attracting selective industries, in accordance with the province's policies, with large investment capital and reduced labor intensive.

In order to assist businesses and factories, Loc An-Binh Son Industrial Park is also making efforts to complete and improve the quality of the road system; rainwater and wastewater drainage; water supply; communication and lighting systems.

At the meeting, the investors of the 2 industrial parks also voiced challenges and problems to the working group. Long Thanh High-tech Industrial Park hoped the locality would soon complete the backup 22kV power line; support the completion of infrastructure connecting the industrial park and surrounding areas; speed up the progress of compensation and site clearance, land allocation, land lease for the remaining area, and arrange resettlement land banks in neighboring resettlement projects. Loc An-Binh Son Industrial Park proposed to upgrade Road 769 and Bung Mon Road to make connecting with National Highway 51 and other expressways more convenient. In addition, there also needs to set up additional bus routes passing through the industrial park to better serve the needs of workers as well as surrounding residents. The above recommendations have been received and answered by the provincial leaders and there are plans for implementation in the near future.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Hong Linh affirmed the investors that Dong Nai prioritized attracting projects with high technology content to create high added value and increase government budget revenue. As the province's first high-tech industrial park and is adjacent to the airport, Long Thanh high-tech industrial park and Loc An-Binh Son industrial zone need to be the leading units in attracting high-class projects. The province will direct relevant agencies to coordinate with investors to continue overcoming challenges and obstacles to create more industrial land area, serving Dong Nai's sustainable development goals. ​​
