(News Portal – Dong Nai) - On July 10, Inspection Team No. 7, led by Mr. Tran Trung Nhan, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, conducted a field survey and inspection of livestock farming facilities in Cam My district regarding compliance with environmental laws.
The inspection team, led by Mr. Tran Trung Nhan, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, inspecting a pig farm in Nhan Nghia commune, Cam My district.
The team visited Lan Chi Breeding Duck Farm in Hamlet 5, Lam San commune. This is a dry farming facility using biological bedding and microbial technology, treating waste without antibiotics and without discharging waste into the environment. The farm has a scale of 24,000 ducks and covers a total area of 8 hectares.
The team also inspected Dinh Ngoc Co., Ltd.'s pig farm in Co Dau 2 Hamlet, Xuan Dong commune, which has a scale of 2,400 pigs and was licensed for operation in 2011. The company has a total of six farms of the same scale, all located in Cam My district. All the farms are within the planning area and are contract farming facilities. Furthermore, they inspected Dong Phat Breeding Co., Ltd.'s beef cattle farm in Hamlet Co Dau 2, Xuan Dong commune, which has a scale of 8,000 cattle.

All the farms apply closed, cold farm technology and have invested in wastewater treatment systems, odor control systems, solid waste collection and treatment, and have planted trees around the farm. They also conduct regular environmental monitoring. Additionally, they strictly implement biosafety measures in farming, and have developed plans for disease prevention and response.
The team also conducted field surveys of several households engaged in livestock farming outside the legally designated planning areas. Despite this, these households have been farming for longer than the laws have been in place and have ensured proper waste treatment, so they do not negatively impact the environment.
During the inspection, Mr. Tran Trung Nhan recommended that local authorities provide advice and support to households that have traditionally relied on livestock farming. He emphasized the need for solutions that align with the local development context, avoiding rigid application of laws that may not suit the local economic conditions. It is anticipated that on the second working day, July 11, the team will continue to listen to local proposals so that the provincial departments and sectors can address difficulties and obstacles, helping localities manage in accordance with the law while ensuring the livelihoods of the people.
