(News Portal – Dong Nai) - On July 9, a provincial delegation led by Member of the Party Central Committee and Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Hong Linh, along with Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang, and leaders of the Provincial Party Office, departments, and agencies, visited and worked with the leadership of Long Duc Industrial Park and the manufacturing plants of enterprises operating in Long Duc Industrial Park, Long Thanh district, Dong Nai province.

Mr. Ishii Hiroyuki, General Director of Long Duc Investment Co., Ltd. (the investor of Long Duc Industrial Park), stated that according to the development plan of Dong Nai Industrial Parks approved by the Prime Minister, Long Duc Industrial Park has a total area of 580 hectares, divided into two phases. Phase 1 covers 281 hectares, and Phase 2 covers 299 hectares.
The industrial park currently attracts 83 active investors, most of whom are Japanese enterprises. The total investment capital in the park has reached nearly 2 billion USD. Notably, from 2023 and the first half of 2024, it has attracted nearly 260 million USD in investment. Currently, over 8,000 workers are employed in enterprises within Long Duc Industrial Park, with 80% being local labor. Investors in the industrial park are engaged in manufacturing various products in both heavy and light industries, such as electrical cable products, industrial electrical equipment parts, construction steel, containers, metal products; computer and accessory manufacturing, electronic assembly, medical equipment tools, wooden and plastic products...
At the meeting, representatives of Long Duc Industrial Park also presented some operational challenges to the provincial leadership, hoping for timely support and resolution. Specifically, issues related to land compensation and clearance; the completion of the connecting road to the park; annual land lease issues, and the approval of 1/500 planning for enterprises.

Speaking at the meeting,
Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Hong Linh emphasized that Dong Nai is one of
Vietnam's important growth poles, with two key growth areas: industrial
development and services, tourism, and trade. Among them, industrial development
is a crucial pillar with a tradition of over 60 years in Dong Nai. Long Duc is
one of 33 industrial parks in Dong Nai. Compared to others, Long Duc is a new industrial
park that applies technology and has good investment quality. The provincial
leadership highly appreciates Long Duc Industrial Park's investment efforts in
recent times, which have promoted the development of Dong Nai's Industrial
Parks, contributing to enhancing several indices such as technology attraction,
labor utilization, budget contribution, and promoting many green growth goals
according to the policies of the Government and the province.

Regarding the difficulties raised by Long Duc Industrial Park's leadership, these are also the issues of concern to the provincial leadership. Therefore, the province will always accompany investors to resolve these issues. The decisive action in land compensation and clearance, and land recovery for industrial purposes is one of the directives from the provincial leaders, aiming to help IPs effectively carry out land recovery, clearance, and implement the planning of Industrial Parks efficiently.
Also, on the morning of July 9, the provincial delegation visited the factory of SMC Manufacturing Vietnam Co., Ltd., one of the largest Japanese-invested enterprises in Long Duc IP, with nearly 670 million USD in investment capital.
